When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be

9. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance

11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces,
including stove.
12. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
13. Release the release/reset button before plugging cord into wall outlet. To
disconnect, release the release/reset button; then remove plug from wall outlet.
To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power
cord.
14. Do not open pressurized (aerosol-type) cans.
15. Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.
16. Do not use appliance for other than intended purpose.
17. Carefully route the power supply cord to avoid damage from the knife blades
while sharpening.

This appliance is intended for household use only.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with a
polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits
only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by
modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the
outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of
becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an
approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord
must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to
arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.

WARNING

away from cutting mechanism and other moving parts of the can opener while

How to Use
NOTE: This Can Opener cuts the side around the top of the can.
1.
Plug into outlet. Press RELEASE/RESET Button.
2.
Align can under Red Alignment Indicator and place can against front of Can
Opener. Lift can up until rim is under Cutting Mechanism.
3.
Press and hold down OPEN Button until can has completed ONE ROTATION only.
DO NOT hold can while it is rotating.
4.
Hold can, then press and hold RELEASE/RESET Button while moving can down
and away from Can Opener.
NOTES:
• Motor WILL NOT automatically stop or lift lid when can has opened.
• Allowing only one rotation reduces or prevents metal slivers.
• When motor sound shifts to a higher pitch, can is open. Release can as in Step 4,
then carefully lift lid up to remove.
How to Use Knife Sharpener
1.
Unplug.
2.
Place cutting edge of knife in the Knife Sharpener located on the back of the Can
Opener.
3.
Draw the knife blade through the slot several times.
4.
Clean knife after sharpening.
NOTE: To prevent damage to Can Opener and knives, do not insert serrated blades
into this unit.
How to Use Bottle Opener
1.
Unplug.
2.
DO NOT use Bottle Opener for screw-top or pull-ring caps.
3.
Move Can Opener to countertop edge to easily open bottles.
4.
Place bottle’s cap against inside of Bottle Opener hook.
5.
Hold Can Opener firmly in place. Use other hand to pull bottle down to pop cap off.
Care and Cleaning
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard. Do not immerse the can opener body
or cord in water or other liquid.

Unplug.
2.
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry.
3.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, since they will scratch finish. Slide cord into Cord
Storage in back of Can Opener.
Tips
• DO NOT hold can while can is being opened.
• Some microwaveable can designs do not work with this can opener.
• Can Opener will easily open all standard-size cans and cans with pop-top lids.
• If there is a bump, dent, or heavy seam in rim of can, open other end of can or
start Cutting Mechanism just beyond it.
• The motor of your Can Opener is permanently lubricated and will require no oiling.
Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This
is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or
condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
period of five (5) years from the date of original delivery in Canada and one (1) year
from the date of original delivery in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy
is replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option;
however, you are responsible for all costs associated with our returning a product or
component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is unavailable,
we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in
conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from

AVERTISSEMENT

pas l’objectif sécuritaire de cette fiche en la modifiant de quelque manière que ce

la fiche dans la prise, inversez la fiche. Si elle refuse toujours de s’insérer, faire

La longueur du cordon installé sur cet appareil a été sélectionnée afin de

L’utilisation d’une rallonge approuvée est permise si le cordon est trop court. Les

AVERTISSEMENT

Utilisation
REMARQUE : L’ouvre-boîte coupe le couvercle sous le rebord de la boîte.
1.
Brancher dans une prise de courant. Appuyer sur le bouton RELEASE/RESET
(dégager/réinitialiser).
2.
Accoter la boîte sur l’avant de l’ouvre-boîte en l’alignant sur l’indicateur rouge
d’alignement. Soulever-la de manière à placer le bord sous le mécanisme de
coupe.
3.
Appuyer sur le bouton OPEN (ouvrir) et le garder enfoncé jusqu’à ce que l’appareil
ait effectué UNE seule ROTATION. NE PAS tenir la boîte durant la rotation.
4.
Tenir la boîte. Appuyer sur le bouton RELEASE/RESET (dégager/réinitialiser) et le
garder enfoncé en abaissant la boîte et en la retirant de l’ouvre-boîte.
REMARQUES :
• Le moteur NE S’ARRÊTERA PAS automatiquement ou NE SOULÈVERA PAS le
couvercle lorsque la boîte est ouverte.
• Laisser tourner la boîte sur un seul tour pour éviter la formation de paille
métallique.
• La boîte est ouverte lorsque le moteur émet un son plus aigu. Dégager la boîte
comme à l’étape 4, puis soulever soigneusement le couvercle pour le retirer.
Utilisation de l’aiguisoir
1.
Débrancher.
2.
Placer la partie tranchante du couteau dans l’aiguisoir situé à l’arrière de
l’ouvre-boîte.
3.
Passer la lame du couteau dans la fente à plusieurs reprises.
4.
Nettoyer le couteau après l’avoir aiguisé.
REMARQUE : Pour éviter les dommages à l’ouvre-boîte et aux couteaux, ne pas
aiguiser de lames dentées avec cet appareil.
Utilisation de l’ouvre-bouteille
1.
Débrancher.
2.
NE PAS utiliser l’ouvre-bouteille pour les bouchons vissés ou avec anneau à tirer.
3.
Placer l’ouvre-boîte près du bord du comptoir pour faciliter l’ouverture des
bouteilles.
4.
Accoter le bouchon de la bouteille sur la partie intérieure du crochet de
l’ouvre-bouteille.
5.
Tenir fermement l’ouvre-boîte en place. Utiliser l’autre main pour tirer sur la
bouteille afin de la décapsuler.
Entretien et nettoyage
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de choc électrique. Ne plongez pas le corps de
l’ouvre-boîte ou cordon dans de l’eau ou dans un autre liquide.

Débrancher.
2.
Essuyer avec un linge doux humide et sécher.
3.
Ne pas utiliser de nettoyants abrasifs, car ils risquent de rayer le fini. Glisser le
cordon dans le rangement du cordon à l’arrière de l’ouvre-boîte.
