1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Dear costumer,
thank you very much for choosing our product.
In following, we will introduce you to what to observe while starting up
and using this product.
Should you encounter any unexpected problems during use, please do
not hesitate to contact us.
1.1 ADVANTAGES TO RS232
In comparison to the RS232 Interface, the RS485 Interface enables serial
communication over longer cables and with increased transmission
speed.
The USB interface converter serves as a RS485 interface which is connect-
able via USB.
The USB interface converter is needed because modern built PCs do not
have a RS485 interface anymore.

2. CONNECTION
Since in contrast to the RS232 interface, the RS485 interface is a bus system,
several master/slaves can be connected (as stated below in the schematic
image).
You have to connect the A and B wiring of min. 1 master and 1 slave to be
able to use the RS485 interface.
The PCB of our device shows the following description on the backside (like
shown on the picture).
Our RS485 interface does not require a driver installation with modern oper-
ating systems as those are preinstalled.
Please mind that both cables must be of the same length.
