FUNCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
1. Se incorpora un protector contra sobrecargas térmicas para impedir el sobrecalentamiento.
2. Si el Calentador percibe que la temperatura de la habitación es demasiado alta, el Calentador se apagará, la pantalla
comenzará a parpadear y la LUZ DE CALENTAMIENTO también parpadeará. Para reiniciar la unidad, desconecte el
Calentador y espere 10 minutos hasta que el Calentador se enfríe.
3. Después que el Calentador se haya enfriado, siga las instrucciones de funcionamiento descriptas en este manual.
CONSEJOS DE SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si su Calentador se apaga inesperadamente o no funciona, el elemento de seguridad arriba mencionado podría haber sido
activado para evitar el sobrecalentamiento.
1. Asegúrese que el cable eléctrico esté conectado a un tomacorriente eléctrico en funcionamiento.
2. Verifique la posición de su Temperatura. El Calentador puede haberse apagado por haber alcanzado la posición de
temperatura deseada.
3. Si su Calentador opera durante varios minutos y se apaga repetidamente, es posible que el mismo requiera limpieza.
Ver la sección de Mantenimiento abajo.

MANTENIMIENTO
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico e incendio por favor obedezca las siguientes instrucciones.
Limpiar el Calentador regularmente ayudará a mantener su eficiencia.
- Siempre desconecte el cable eléctrico antes de mover, reparar o limpiar.
- NUNCA coloque el Calentador dentro de o cerca de agua. NO SUMERJA EL Calentador EN AGUA
- Limpie el Calentador solamente con una aspiradora equipada con un accesorio de cepillo; la aspiradora
quitará el polvo y los desperdicios del interior del Calentador.
- Aspire las parrillas de entrada cada dos semanas; esto ayudará a mantener el rendimiento óptimo del calentador.
- Use un cepillo de dientes u otro cepillo de cerdas suaves para aflojar suavemente cualquier polvo
que no haya sido retirado por la aspiradora
- NUNCA intente desarmar el Calentador.
- Limpie el cuerpo del Calentador únicamente con un trapo suave.
- NUNCA use ALCOHOL o SOLVENTES tales como gasolina, bencina, disolvente de pinturas u otros
limpiadores duros.

• PLUG HEATERS DIRECTLY INTO A 120V WALL OUTLET/RECEPTACLE ONLY. NEVER USE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD. DO NOT
PLUG HEATER INTO ANY OTHER CORD CONNECTED DEVICE, SUCH AS A POWER STRIP, SURGE PROTECTOR, MULTIPLE OUTLET
ADAPTER, CORD REEL OR OUTLET-TYPE AIR FRESHENER. THE USE OF SUCH DEVICES MAY CREATE A FIRE HAZARD. DO NOT
PLUG MULTIPLE DEVICES IN THE SAME OUTLET OR ON SAME CIRCUIT AS HEATER.
• FAULTY WALL OUTLET CONNECTIONS MAY CAUSE THE WALL OUTLET TO OVERHEAT. BE SURE THAT HEATER PLUG FITS
TIGHTLY INTO OUTLET BEFORE EACH USE. DURING USE, CHECK TO MAKE CERTAIN THE HEATER PLUG IS NOT OVERHEATING.
IF NECESSARY HAVE A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN CHECK AND/OR REPLACE THE WALL OUTLET. DO NOT USE THIS HEATER
WITH ANY SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICES.
• Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the Heater.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used by or near children or invalids. The Heater should not be left operating unattended.
Never leave children unattended when the heater is on or plugged in.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
• DO NOT use the Heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored. DO NOT use Heater in locations where
flammable or explosive chemicals are stored, or in wet atmospheres.
• Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the Heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
To disconnect Heater, turn the Heater OFF then remove the plug from the outlet.
• Always unplug Heater when not in use. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the Heater.
• Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may cause an electric shock, fire, or
damage the Heater. Do not block or tamper with the Heater in any manner while it is in operation.
• Do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
D o not depend on the on/off switch as the sole means of disconnecting power when servicing or moving the heater. Always unplug
the power cord.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, these instructions and warnings should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons:

• Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level surface when operating, to avoid the chance of the Heater overturning. Locate the Power Cord so
the Heater or other objects are not resting on it. DO NOT run Power Cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover Power Cord with throw rugs, runners,
or similar coverings as this may cause cord to overheat. Arrange Power Cord away from room traffic and where it will not be tripped over.
• This Heater is HOT when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use handle when moving this Heater. Keep com-
bustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the Heater and keep
them at least 1 foot (0.3 m) from the sides and rear.
• This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. This Heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor
locations. NEVER locate a Heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• DO NOT use Heater outdoors.
• This Heater is not suitable for use in agricultural facilities including areas where livestock, poultry or other animals are confined. Please refer to
National Electric Code (NEC) Article 547-7 (2008), or applicable state or local codes or standards relating to electrical requirements for Agricul-
tural Buildings. THIS HEATER DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF NEC ARTICLE 547-7 (2008).
• This Heater is not suitable for use in hazardous locations. Please refer to National Electric Code (NEC) Article 500 or applicable state or local
codes or standards relating to electrical requirements for Hazardous locations. THIS HEATER DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS
OF NEC ARTICLE 500 (2008).
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses
and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful

FUNCIÓN DE TEMPORIZADOR
La función temporizadora operará en cualquier modo. Con esta
función podrá ajustar el tiempo de operación desde 1 a 7 horas.
Cada vez que oprima el Botón Temporizador ( ) (Timer) el tiempo
de operación aumentará 1 hora. Si oprime el Botón Temporizador
( ) (Timer) otra vez después de que la pantalla muestra 7
horas, el Calentador volverá a funcionar en forma continua. El
Calentador se apagará solo cuando el tiempo determinado haya
transcurrido. Puede volver a encender la unidad si oprime el Botón
de Encendido ( ).

FUNCIONAMIENTO
El Calentador puede ser operado con los controles manuales
ubicados en el Calentador (como se muestra en la Figura 1).
1. Coloque el Calentador sobre una superficie firme y plana,
después de su montaje según las instrucciones de este.
CUIDADO: Los tacos de plástico o hule, tales como las patas de
esta unidad, pueden pegarse a la superficie de los muebles y/o a
los pisos de madera. La unidad podría dejar un residuo capaz de
oscurecer, manchar o dejar marcas permanentes en el acabado
de ciertas superficies de muebles, incluyendo superficies de
madera y/o pisos de madera.
2. Conecte el cable a un tomacorriente de 120 voltios.
Asegúrese que el enchufe encaje firmemente en el
tomacorriente.
Cuando los enchufes quedan flojos dentro de
los tomacorrientes, podrían deslizarse parcial o
completamente fuera del tomacorriente con el menor
movimiento del cable adosado. Los tomacorrientes en
este estado podrían sobrecalentarse y representar un
peligro de incendio grave; si queda cubierto por una
cortina o tela, el peligro de incendio es todavía mayor.
3. Al conectar el Calentador por primera vez, se oirá un “bip” y la
luz de encendido se encenderá indicando que hay electricidad
en la unidad. La luz de encendido permanecerá encendida
hasta que el Calentador sea desconectado del tomacorriente
eléctrico.
4. ENCIENDA el Calentador oprimiendo el Botón de
Encendido ( ).
5. La unidad estará funcionando en Calor ALTO. (1500 vatios)
6. Oprimir el ) en este punto fijará al Calentador en Calor Botón (
BAJO.
7. Para APAGAR el Calentador, oprima el Botón de Encendido
( ) y desconecte la unidad del tomacorriente eléctrico.

FUNCIÓN DE PERSIANA (Figura 2)
Este Calentador posee una persiana en la parrilla frontal superior
que permite el ajuste vertical del flujo de aire. Deslice el control de
la persiana hacia arriba o hacia abajo para ajustar el flujo de aire
a voluntad.

FUNCIÓN DE TEMPERATURA
Para ambientar la habitación a una temperatura específica,
oprima el ( ) or ( ) hasta la posición deseada. La luz debajo de
la temperatura seleccionada continuará titilando hasta que la
habitación alcance la temperatura deseada.
