Rack-Mount Power Strip

These operating instructions are intended for

non-professional users with technical knowl-

edge. Please read these operating instructions

carefully prior to operation and keep them for

later reference.

1 Applications

This power strip is especially designed for installation

into a rack (482 mm / 19”) and is used to distribute

the mains voltage to up to eight units placed into a

rack. The power consumption of each unit must not

exceed 1380 VA (6 A), and the total power consump-

tion of all units must not exceed 3680 VA(16 A).

The power strip provides 8 sockets equipped

with a protective-earth contact (“Schuko”). Each

socket can individually be switched on and off via

an illuminated toggle switch on the front side.

2 Safety Notes

This unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the

EU and is therefore marked with

WARNING The unit uses dangerous mains

voltage. Leave servicing to skilled

personnel only. Inexpert handling

may result in electric shock.

•

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it

against dripping water and splash water, high air

humidity and heat (admissible ambient tempera-

ture range: 0 – 40 °C).

•

Do not place any vessels ﬁlled with liquid, e. g.

drinking glasses, on the unit.

•

Do not set the unit into operation, or immedi-

ately disconnect the mains plug from the mains

socket if:

1. the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,

2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or

similar accident,

3. there are malfunctions.

In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled

personnel.

•

A damaged mains cable must be replaced by

skilled personnel only.

•

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the

mains plug from the mains socket, always seize

the plug.

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

chemicals or water.

•

No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability

for any resulting personal damage or material

damage will be accepted if the unit is used for

other purposes than originally intended, if it is

not correctly connected, if it is overloaded, or if

it is not repaired in an expert way.

•

Important for U. K. Customers!

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in

accordance with the following code:

green / yellow = earth, blue = neutral,

brown = live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead

of this appliance may not correspond with the

coloured markings identifying the terminals in

your plug, proceed as follows:

1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow

must be connected to the terminal in the plug

which is marked with the letter E or by the

earth symbol

, or coloured green or green

and yellow.

2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-

nected to the terminal which is marked with

the letter N or coloured black.

3. The wire which is coloured brown must be

connected to the terminal which is marked

with the letter L or coloured red.

Warning – This appliance must be earthed.

If the unit is to be put out of operation

deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling

plant for a disposal which is not harmful

to the environment.

3 Setting into Operation

1) Place the power strip into a rack. An installation

height of 2 rack spaces (1 rack space = 44.5 mm)

is required.

2) Connect the units placed into the rack to the

sockets.

Caution! The power consumption of each

unit must not exceed 1380 VA (6 A). In case

of higher power consumption, the power strip

will be overloaded and damaged.

Also make sure that the power consump-

tion of all connected units does not exceed

3680 VA (16 A). Otherwise, the fuse of the

230 V circuit used will respond.

3) Connect the power strip to a mains socket

(230 V/50 Hz).

4) Use the appropriate switches on the front side to

switch on the required sockets.

Rack-Steckdosenleiste

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an an technisch

versierte Laien. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung

vor dem Betrieb gründlich durch und heben

Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten

Diese Steckdosenleiste ist speziell für den Einbau

in ein Rack (482 mm / 19”) konzipiert und dient zur

Verteilung der Netzspannung auf bis zu acht in

einem Rack eingesetzte Geräte. Die Leistungsauf-

nahme eines einzelnen Gerätes darf 1380 VA (6 A)

nicht überschreiten und die Leistungsaufnahme

aller Geräte zusammen nicht 3680 VA (16 A).

Die Steckdosenleiste ist mit acht Schukosteck-

dosen ausgestattet. Jede Steckdose lässt sich ein-

zeln über einen Leucht-Kippschalter auf der Front-

seite ein- und ausschalten.

2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch

Das Gerät entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien der

EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährli-

cher Netzspannung versorgt. Neh-

men Sie deshalb nie selbst Eingriffe

am Gerät vor. Durch unsachgemä-

ßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr

eines elektrischen Schlages.

•

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich.

Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,

hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Ein-

satztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,

z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.

•

Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-

hen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steck-

dose, wenn:

1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder am Netz-

kabel vorhanden sind,

2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Ver-

dacht auf einen Defekt besteht,

3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.

Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur

in eine Fachwerkstatt.

•

Ein beschädigtes Netzkabel darf nur durch eine

autorisierte Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.

•

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der

Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.

•

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-

nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien

oder Wasser.

•

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig

angeschlossen, überlastet oder nicht fachgerecht

repariert, kann keine Haftung für daraus resul-

tierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine

Garantie für das Gerät übernommen werden.

Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb

genommen werden, übergeben Sie es

zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem

örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

3 Inbetriebnahme

1) Die Steckdosenleiste in ein Rack einsetzen. Es

wird eine Einbauhöhe von 2 HE benötigt (HE =

Höheneinheit = 44,5 mm).

2) Die im Rack eingesetzten Geräte an die Steck-

dosen anschließen.

Vorsicht! Jedes Gerät darf eine Leistung von

maximal 1380 VA (6 A) aufnehmen. Bei einer

höheren Leistungsaufnahme wird die Steck-

dosenleiste überlastet und beschädigt.

Achten Sie auch darauf, dass die Leis-

tungsaufnahme aller angeschlossenen Geräte

3680 VA (16 A) nicht überschreitet. Ande-

renfalls wird die Sicherung des verwendeten

230-V-Stromkreises ausgelöst.

3) Die Steckdosenleiste an eine Steckdose (230 V/

50 Hz) anschließen.

4) -Mit den Schaltern auf der Frontseite die benötig

ten Steckdosen einschalten.

Multiprise pour rack

Veuillez lire la présente notice avec attention

avant le fonctionnement et conservez-la pour

pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Cette multiprise est spécialement conçue pour une

installation en rack (482 mm / 19”) et permet de

répartir la tension d’alimentation sur jusqu’à 8ap-

pareils placés dans un rack. La consommation de

chaque appareil ne doit pas dépasser 1380 VA (6 A),

et la consommation de tous les appareils ne doit

pas dépasser 3680 VA (16 A).

La multiprise est équipée de 8 prises allemandes

«Schuko». Chaque prise est allumée / éteinte sépa-

rément avec un interrupteur basculant éclairé, situé

sur la face avant.

2 Conseils de sécurité

Cet appareil répond à toutes les directives néces-

saires de l’Union européenne et porte donc le sym-

bole .

AVERTISSEMENT Cet appareil est alimenté par

une tension dangereuse. Ne tou-

chez jamais l’intérieur de l’appa-

reil car, en cas de mauvaise ma-

nipulation, vous pourriez subir

une décharge électrique.

•

L’appareil n’est conçu que pour une utilisation en

intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de projections

d’eau, des éclaboussures, d’une humidité élevée

et de la chaleur (plage de température de fonc-

tionnement autorisée : ).0 – 40 °C

•

En aucun cas, vous ne devez poser d’objet conte-

nant du liquide ou un verre sur l’appareil.

•

Ne le faites jamais fonctionner et débranchez-le

immédiatement lorsque :

1. -des dommages sur l’appareil ou le câble sec

teur apparaissent,

2. après une chute ou accident similaire, vous

avez un doute sur l’état de l’appareil,

3. des défaillances apparaissent.

Dans tous les cas, les dommages doivent être

réparés par un technicien spécialisé.

•

Tout cordon secteur endommagé doit être rem-

placé par un technicien habilité.

•

Ne débranchez jamais l’appareil en tirant sur le

cordon secteur ; retirez toujours le cordon sec-

teur en tirant la prise.

•

Pour nettoyer l’appareil, utilisez un chiffon sec

et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou

d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages corporels ou matériels résultants si

l’appareil est utilisé dans un but autre que celui

pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correcte-

ment branché, s’il y a surcharge ou s’il n’est pas

réparé par une personne habilitée, de même, la

garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque l’appareil est déﬁnitivement retiré

du service, vous devez le déposer dans

une usine de recyclage de proximité pour

contribuer à son élimination non polluante.

3 Fonctionnement

1) Placez la multiprise dans un rack ; une hauteur

de 2 U (44,5 mm = 1 U) est nécessaire.

2) Reliez les appareils placés dans le rack aux prises

«Schuko».

Attention ! La consommation de chaque

appareil ne doit pas dépasser 1380 VA (6 A). En

cas d‘une consommation supérieure, la multi-

prise sera surchargée et endommagée.

Faites aussi attention : la consommation

totale de l’ensemble des appareils ne doit pas

dépasser 3680 VA (16 A). Dans le cas contraire,

le fusible du circuit 230 V utilisé est déclenché.

3) Reliez la multiprise à une prise (230 V/ 50 Hz).

4) Allumez les prises dont vous avez besoin avec les

interrupteurs de la face avant.

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte a utenti con

conoscenze tecniche. Vi preghiamo di leggerle

attentamente prima dell’installazione e di con-

servarle per un uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questa presa multipla è stata realizzata special-

mente per il montaggio in un rack (482 mm / 19”) e

serve per distribuire la tensione di rete fra un mas-

simo di 8 apparecchi sistemati nel rack. La potenza

assorbita di un apparecchio singolo non deve su-

perare i 1380 VA (6 A) e quella della totalità degli

apparecchi non deve superare i 3680 VA (16 A).

La presa multipla è equipaggiata con 8 prese

tedesche. Ogni presa può essere accesa separata-

mente da un interruttore luminoso sul frontale.

2 Avvertenze di sicurezza

Quest’apparecchio è conforme a tutte le direttive

rilevanti dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

AVVERTIMENTO L’apparecchio funziona con pe-

ricolosa tensione di rete. Non in-

tervenire mai personalmente al

suo interno. La manipolazione

scorretta può provocare delle

scariche elettriche pericolose.

•

Far funzionare l’apparecchio solo all’interno di

locali. Proteggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli

spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal

calore (temperatura d’impiego ammessa fra 0 °C

e 40 °C).

•

Non poggiare sullo unità contenitori riempiti di

liquidi, p. es. bicchieri.

•

Non mettere in funzione l’apparecchio e staccare

subito la spina rete se:

1. l’apparecchio o il cavo rete presentano dei

danni visibili;

2. dopo una caduta o dopo eventi simili sussiste

il sospetto di un difetto;

3. l’apparecchio non funziona correttamente.

Per la riparazione rivolgersi sempre ad un’ofﬁcina

competente.

•

Il cavo rete, se danneggiato, deve essere sostitu-

ito solo da un laboratorio autorizzato.

•

Staccare il cavo rete afferrando la spina, senza

tirare il cavo.

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti

chimici o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di collegamenti sba-

gliati, di sovraccarico o di riparazione non a

regola d’arte dell’alimentatore, non si assume

nessuna responsabilità per eventuali danni con-

sequenziali a persone o a cose e non si assume

nessuna garanzia per lo strumento.

Se si desidera eliminare l’apparecchio de-

ﬁnitivamente, consegnarlo per lo smal-

timento ad un’istituzione locale per il

riciclaggio.

3 Messa in funzione

1) -Inserire la presa multipla in un rack. Sono richie

ste due unità di altezza, cioè 2 × 44,5 mm.

2) Collegare gli apparecchi sistemati nel rack con

le prese.

Attenzione! La potenza assorbita di un

apparecchio singolo non deve superare i

1380 VA(6 A). Un assorbimento maggiore si-

gniﬁca sovraccarico e danneggiamento della

presa multipla.

Tener presente anche che la corrente assor-

bita da tutti gli apparecchi collegati non deve

superare 3680 VA (16 A). Altrimenti reagisce il

fusibile del circuito 230 V.

3) Collegare la presa multipla con una presa di rete

(230 V/ 50 Hz).

4) Alimentare le prese necessarie con gli interruttori

sul lato frontale.
