Locate the crown on your Stauer watch (see
diagram part C) and please note the three
crown positions (0-1-2).
1. To set the time: When the second
hand (part A) is at the 12 o’clock posi-
tion, pull the crown (part C) out to
position “2.” Rotate the crown until the
desired time is set.
2. When finished setting the time, push
the crown back to the “0” (zero) position. At
this point the second hand (part A) will run.
SETTING THE DATE
1. Pull the crown (part C) out to position “1”.
2. Turn the crown clockwise (away from you)
to set the date (part F).
3. After the date has been set, push the crown
back to position “0” (zero).
- The date should not be adjusted between
approximately 9:00pm to 1:00am.
USING THE CHRONOGRAPH
This chronograph measures and displays time
in one second increments up to a maximum
of 59 minutes 59 seconds.
1. The chronograph can be started and
stopped by pressing the Start/Stop Chrono
Button (part B). Note: for measuring split
times you will use the Split/Reset Chrono
Button (part E) for stopping.
2. Pressing the Split/Reset Chrono Button
(part E) resets the chronograph and the sec-
ond hand (part A), minute counter (part H)
and seconds counter (part G) return to the
zero position.
3. For split time, pressing the Split/Reset
Chrono Button (part E) again after stopping
the chronograph will restart the chronograph
function. Then press the Start/Stop Chrono
Button (part B) to stop, and the Split/Reset
Chrono Button (part E) to reset.

CHRONOGRAPH RESET (INCL. AFTER
REPLACING BATTERY)
This procedure should be performed when
the chronograph second hand does not return
to zero position after the chronograph has
been reset and after the battery has been
replaced.
1. Pull the crown (part C) out to position 2.
2. Press the Start/Stop Chrono Button (part
B) to set the second hand (part A) to the zero
position.
3. The second hand “A” and minute hand dial
(part H) can be advanced rapidly by continu-
ously pressing the Start/Stop Chrono Button
(part B).
4. Once the hands have been set to zero posi-
tion, press the Start/Stop Chrono Button
(part B) to reset the second hand (part A)
and then return the crown to the normal “0”
position.

IMPORTANT
When resetting the chronograph, only return
the crown to the normal “0” position when
the second hand (part A) is in the zero posi-
tion. The second hand (part A) stops on the
way when the crown is returned to the nor-
mal position and that position is recognized
as the zero position.
