The objective of every Tangent product is that fundamentally correct design can produce a

product capable of achieving excellent performance and aordability.

Please take time to read the following safety instructions.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: Risk of electrical shock. Do not open the unit.

1. Read, keep and follow these instructions.

2. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other

apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

4. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

5. Protect the power card from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs,

convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

6. Unplug this apparatus during lighting storms or when unused for long periods of time.

7. Do not let objects or liquids enter the product.

8. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-

supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the

apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally,

or has been dropped.

9. Opening the unit by unauthorized personnel will void the limited warranty.

CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than herein may

result in hazardous radiation exposure or other unsafe operation.

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to avoid making scratches to the surface. Do not use cleaning

alcohol, or other solvent fluids to clean the surface of the Cabinet as this can both damage the

coating and also cause electrical failures and fire if it enters the electronics in the unit! Before

cleaning, please unplug the unit from the AC power outlet.

Overloading: To prevent risk of fire or electric shock, avoid overloading wall outlets or extension

cords.

Open fire: keep this sound system a safe distance away from any open flame such as a lit candle.

No open flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the unit.

Operating temperatures: The recommended operating temperature range for the sound system

is 5 to 40 degrees Celsius (41 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit).

Label location: The product labels and safety related markings are located on the back of the unit

and the power adaptor.

Unplugging while in operation: Do not remove the AC power cord if music is playing.

Batteries in the remote control: Keep the remote control battery away from children. It may

cause a fire or chemical burn if mishandled. Do not recharge, disassembled, heat above 100

degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit). Replace only with a battery of the correct type and

model number. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced incorrectly.CAUTION:

Used batteries: Please dispose of used batteries properly, following the local regulations. Do not

place the battery in fire.

This product can be recycled. Products bearing this symbol must NOT be thrown away with

normal household waste. At the end of the product’s life, take it to a collection point designated

for recycling of electrical and electronic devices. Find out more about return and collection points

through your local authority.

UNPACKING

This speaker was carefully tested and inspected during production and before packing

and shipping. After unpacking, please check for any damage. It is unusual that a a unit

get damaged damaged during shipping, but if this does happen, please contact your

retailer immediately.

We recommend that you keep the original carton box and packing material for future

transport.

RECOMMENDED SPEAKER SETUP

Correct speaker placement has a huge impact on sound quality. There are many

different theories, but all rooms and tastes are different so it is impossible to specify

the correct placement. We suggest you to experiment with a few different locations to

see what is best for you.

For the best bass response, we recommend that you a keep a minimum distance of 20-

25 cm between the speakers and the rear wall. For height, we recommend to position

the tweeter of your speakers at eye level of your most common listening position.

SPEAKER CONDITIONING AND BREAK-IN

Even if a break a break-in period is not required, we recommend that you play between

24 to 48 hours of music through the speakers before doing any critical listening or

speaker placement.

SPEAKER CLEANING

We We do not recommend to use any solvents or cleaners on cabinets or speaker drive

units. Just wipe down with a soft, dry cloth.
