IP Communication Panels
VIP-TCHH & VIP-TCHC
INTRODUCTION
The VIP-TCH Communication Panels are
innovative touchscreen appliances that send live
voice, pre-recorded audio, and uploaded audio file
announcements to Valcom IP Multicast Page
Groups, IP speakers or horns, and VIP Page
Controllers. The VIP-TCH can also initiate and
receive intercom calls to or from Valcom IP
talkback-enabled endpoints or SIP telephones. The
Communication Panel can receive and play paging
announcements via its built-in speaker from other
Valcom IP gateways. The VIP-TCHH model is
equipped with a handset; the VIP-TCHC is
equipped with a handheld microphone with push-
to-talk button.

FCC Information
This equipment has been tested and found to
comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference when the equipment
is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and if not installed and used in
accordance with the instruction manual, may
cause harmful interference to radio
communications. Operation of this equipment in a
residential area may cause harmful interference in
which case the user will be required to correct the
interference at his own expense.
INSTALLATION
Mounting
The VIP-TCH is designed for wall mounting to a solid
surface. Open the front cover and remove four screws
holding the Front Cover touch screen assembly to the
Base mounting box as shown in Figure 1. Mount the
Base to the wall using appropriate hardware.
Dimensions of mounting holes are shown in Figure 3.
Knockouts for conduit are available on the top side
and the back of the Base. Route the network ethernet
wiring into the Base using the appropriate knockout
and connect to the touch screen assembly. Network
connection is shown in Figure 2.
After mounting the Base and making the network
connection, reassemble the Front Cover to the Base
using the screws removed earlier.
Power and Network Connection
The VIP-TCH Communication Panel requires Power
over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) compliant with the IEEE
802.3at standard. Power will be supplied through the
network connection.
The VIP-TCH has one RJ-45 network connector on
the bottom of the touch screen panel. Connect the
ethernet network cable to the RJ-45 socket as shown
in Figure 2.

obsolete outlet.

10.Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11.Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. plug is
damaged, liquid has been spilled, objects have fallen into the apparatus or the
apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture and does not operate normally or has
been dropped.

by the manufacturer or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is
used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination
