The Vello Universal Pistol Grip

will change the way

you take pictures and record

videos. Its ergonomic grip

provides the stability needed to

facilitate blur-free images and

smooth motion.

The grip gives you the ability to

take single, continuous, or

long-exposure shots with ease,

and with compatible cameras you

can also start and stop video. This

makes for a great way to get

professional-looking videos and

photos. Mounting the grip to your

camera is quick and easy, so you’ll

be ready for action.

Button: Press halfway to focus;

press fully to trigger the shutter.

TRIGGER YOUR CAMERA

FOR SINGLE OR

CONTINUOUS SHOTS

1. Make sure the Lock Switch is in

the Down position.

2. Turn on the camera and adjust

to Single Shot or Continuous

mode, as desired.

3. Squeeze the Shutter Button

trigger halfway to focus the

cameras lens.

4. Squeeze the Shutter Button

trigger all the way to take a

picture. Hold for multiple shots.

5. Release the Shutter Button

trigger to stop taking

continuous photos.

Check the shutter release

remote cable for any damage. If

the cable is damaged, you need

to replace it.

You can also take continuous

photos by sliding the Lock Switch

to the Up position.

TRIGGER YOUR CAMERA

FOR VIDEO RECORDING

1. Turn the camera power on and

set it to its video mode. This

works for compatible cameras.

2. Make sure the Lock Switch is in

the Down position.

3. Squeeze the Shutter Button

trigger to begin recording.

4. Squeeze the Shutter Button

trigger again to stop recording.

Note: You can use the lock switch

to lock video or stop/start video

shooting. See your camera's

instructions for more information.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problems with the Vello Universal

Pistol Grip could be due to the

following:

Ensure that you are using the

correct cable for your camera,

and that it is fully inserted. You

can check the included Cable

Compatibility Chart or

vellogear.com for more

information.

●

If you are using the Vello

Universal Pistol Grip as a shutter

release, your camera may not be

able to release the shutter if it is

set to Autofocus and cannot

achieve focus on the subject.

Switch your camera to manual

focus, and focus the camera to

ensure proper shutter release.

GETTING STARTED

Make sure your camera power is

turned o.

Mounting the Vello

Universal Pistol Grip

1. Attach the Pistol Grip's 1/4-20

stud to your camera's tripod

socket.

2. Rotate the thumbwheel

counterclockwise to tighten.

Connecting the Shutter

Remote Cable

1. With your camera power still

o and the grip securely

fastened, plug a 2.5 mm remote

cable to the remote socket on

the side of the handle grip.

2. Now plug the other end of the

2.5 mm cable into your

camera’s remote socket.

Do not attempt to disassemble

or perform any unauthorized

modiﬁcation.

●

Do not use with oversized

cameras and lenses. This may

cause damage to the device or

your camera.

●

Do not use or leave the device in

extreme heat, severe cold or high

humidity.

●

Do not use with wet hands or

expose to water and rain.

●

Clean the unit with a soft, dry

cloth.

●

Grip is not meant for mounting

on a tripod.

Attach the grip to your mirroless

camera, DSLR, or small

camcorder, using the 1/4-20

threaded stud on top of the grip.

The grip’s rubber cushion will

protect the bottom of your

camera from scratches.

This VELLO product is warranted to the original purchaser

to be free from defects in materials and workmanship

under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year

from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after

replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty

provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited

warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at

the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during

normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its

intended environment. Inoperability of the product or

part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the

product has been discontinued, the warranty provider

reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent

quality and function. This warranty does not cover damage

or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration,

Note: You can use the lock switch

to lock video or stop/start video

1. Attach the Pistol Grip's 1/4-20

stud to your camera's tripod

socket.

2. Rotate the thumbwheel

counterclockwise to tighten.

Connecting the Shutter

Remote Cable

1. With your camera power still

o and the grip securely

fastened, plug a 2.5 mm remote

cable to the remote socket on

the side of the handle grip.

2. Now plug the other end of the

2.5 mm cable into your

camera’s remote socket.
