INSTRUCTIONS
This device is suitable for shaving and trimming body hair
below the neck line only. Any other use may result in damage
to the device or injuries.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Follow basic safety precautions, including:
1. Read this manual before first use thoroughly. It contains
important information for your safety as well as for the use
and maintenance of the equipment. Keep these instructions
for future reference and pass it on with the device.
2. Pay particular attention to the warnings on the device and
in this instruction manual.
3. Use the device only for its intended purpose. Improper use
may lead to hazards.
4. This device is designed for household use only, not for
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and
other residential type environments, bed and breakfast type
environments use. It is not suitable for commercial use.
5. In the event of improper use or wrong operation, we do not
accept any liability for resulting damages.
6. The use of accessories and components not expressly
recommended by the manufacturer may result in injuries or
damages and voids the warranty.
7. This device is not intended to be used by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental abilities or lack of experience and / or lack
of knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or have received instructions on
how to use the device.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the device.
9. Never leave the device unsupervised while it is switched on.
10. Do not place heavy objects on top of the device.
11. Never immerse electrical parts of the device in water during
cleaning or operation.
12. Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair the
device yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an
authorised dealer or qualified customer service centre.
13. This device should not be operated with an external clock
timer or separate remote control system.
Power supply
1. Check that the voltage required (see type plate on plug-in
adapter) is compatible with your mains voltage.
2. Water or other liquids must never be allowed to enter the
adapter and the charging station.
For this reason:
– never use it outdoors;
– never use or recharge in very humid environments;
– never recharge immediately next to a washbasin.
3. Never pick up the adapter when your hands are wet.
4. Ensure that the mains cable is not kinked, twisted or
crushed.
5. To avoid overheating, the device must not be set up near to
a heat source.
6. Do not cover the mains adapter, since this will cause it to
heat up excessively.
7. If you are not using the appliance for a prolonged period of
time, remove the adapter from the wall socket. Only then is
the appliance completely free of current
Installation location
1. Place the device on a flat, sturdy and heat-resistant
surface.
2. Put the device in a place which is out of reach of children.
3. Do not operate this device near flammable materials (e.g.
curtains, textiles, walls) and never cover it. Ensure that
there is always a sufficient safe distance from flammable
materials.
4. Use this device in dry indoor areas only and never
outdoors.
5. In order to reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not
expose the device to fire (fireplace, grill, candles, cigarettes
and so on) or water (water drops, water splashes, vases,
tubs, ponds and so on).
6. Keep this device away from all heat sources like for
example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing
devices/objects.
7. Protect this device from extreme heat (over 35°C) and cold
(under 5°C) as well as from direct sunlight and dust.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. The body shaver is used to shave and trim body hair below
the neck line. The body shaver is not suitable for shaving or
trimming facial hair or the hair on your head.
2. Do not use shaver if it has a damaged or broken foil, blade
or cutting unit, as injury may occur.
3. Do not use on open wounds, cuts, sunburn or blister.
4. Using the wrong adapter, in particular, can cause serious
damage and be a fire risk.
5. Clean the device and other accessories after each use.
Refer to the Chapter CARE AND MAINTENANCE.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Unpacking and checking
1. Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the
packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would like to
store the device away or transport it at a later date. If you
choose to dispose of the packaging, then please do so
according to the applicable legal regulations.
2. Check the packaging contents for completeness and
damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be
complete or be damaged, do not use the device. Return it
to your retail outlet immediately.
3. Clean the device and all accessories before the first use.
Refer to the chapter CARE AND MAINTENANCE.
Battery operation:
1. To charge the device, slide the on/off switch downwards
(off). Connect the feed line of the mains adapter to the
switched-off device at the terminal for the feed line and
then insert the mains adapter into a safety socket.
2. Alternatively, you can also connect the feed line to the
charging station and place the device in the charging
station in order to charge it.
3. The pilot lamp lights up and the battery is charged.
4. Charge the device for 10 hours (prior to initial use and
when the battery is empty). Operation approx. 50 minutes
when batteries fully loaded.
5. To prolong battery life, the battery must be completely
discharged before the device is loaded again.
Operation using a wall power supply:
First connect the feed line of the mains adapter to the device
and then insert the mains adapter into a safety socket. The
device is therefore operated via electric current and the device
can be used immediately.
USING THE BODY SHAVER
Shaving
Notes:
• The rst time you shave, leave yourself enough time to
practice with the shaver. Sensitive areas of the body first
have to get used to being shaved.
• Only shave areas of your body below the neck. This device
is not suitable for your face or your head.
• If the hair is more than 10 mm long, we recommend that
you trim it before shaving.
• If there is a trimmer attachment on the shaving head, push
it off the head.
1. Move the On/Off switch to ON.
2. Place the shaving head against your skin.
3. Do not exert any great pressure and pull the skin between
your fingers to flatten it slightly.
4. Move the shaving head against the direction of hair growth.
Only exert slight pressure when doing this.
5. Ensure that the full width of the shaving head is always
against your skin.
Trimming
Trimming cuts the hair to a specific length. Included are three
trimmer attachments for hair 1.5mm, 2.5mm and 3.5 mm long,
after cutting.
1. Position one of the three trimmer attachments on the
shaving head. Ensure that the bars of the trimmer
attachment always point in the shaving direction.
2. Then proceed as you would for shaving.
Notes:
• Trimming is slightly easier when both your hair and skin are
dry.
• If your hair is wet, you can also use a little shaving foam
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Switch off the shaver.
2. Take off the trimmer attachment.
3. Remove the shaving foil from the shaving head.
4. Use the cleaning brush to remove all the hair from
the shaving head, the shaving foil and the trimmer
attachments.
5. Snap the shaving foil into place on the shaving head.
6. Rinse the shaving head under the tap.
Caution! Ensure that you hold only the shaving head under
the running water and that no water gets into the shaver.
DISPOSAL
The shaver and the batteries must be disposed of separately.
You must therefore take out the batteries
before you throw the shaver away:
1. Remove the shaver from the charging station and leave it
running until the batteries are completely flat.
2. Pry off the top part of the shaver with a screwdriver.
3. Pull the top part out of the grip.
4. Take out the batteries and cut through the wire connecting
them.
Disposable/rechargeable batteries
Every user is legally obliged to hand in all disposable and
rechargeable batteries for environmentally friendly disposal,
regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at
a municipal/district or trade collection point. Please only hand
in disposable and rechargeable batteries once they are flat!
Proper disposal of this product.
This label indicates that, in the EU, electronic devices
cannot be disposed of with regular household waste.
Please use the return or collections systems of your
municipality or contact the seller where you purchased this
