Feuer treffen und beachten.
Der Brennerschieber ist verstellbar. Mit den seitlich angebrachten Löchern, passend
zu der Brennerschieberführung im Kesselhaus, lässt sich die Sauerstoffzufuhr und so-
mit die Flammenhöhe regulieren. Um ein Trockenheizen des Kessels zu vermeiden,
sollte vor jedem Nachfüllen mit Brennstofftabletten der Wasserstand überprüft und
der Kessel mit Wasser neu aufgefüllt werden. Das Verhältnis Brennstofftabletten zum
Wasserinhalt im Kessel ist so gewählt, dass der Kessel ohne Nachfüllen von Brenn-
stofftabletten nicht trockengeheizt werden kann. Der Brennerschieber muss ganz
eingeschoben sein. Wichtig: Nach Beendigung des Heizens den Brennerschie-
ber, während er noch warm ist, also vor dem Abkühlen/Erkalten aus der Füh-
rung herausnehmen. Sonst kann sich der Schieber durch das Verkleben von Brenn-
rückständen festklemmen. Sollte der Brennerschieber einmal festsitzen, kann man die-
sen dann durch ein leichtes Verkanten nach links/rechts lösen.
Achtung: Die Befeuerung mit Trockenbrennstofftabletten erfordert viel
Sauerstoff. Eine gute Belüftung des Zimmers ist daher notwendig!
Tabletten, die nicht restlos abgebrannt sind, wegen der auftretenden Ge-
ruchsbelästigung nicht ausblasen, sondern unbedingt ausbrennen lassen.
Falls nicht genügend Wasser im Kessel ist, sollte der Brennerschieber auf
eine feuerfesten Unterlage gelegt werden und hier die Brennstofftabletten restlos abge-
brannt werden.
14. Das Schwungrad bei sichtbarer Dampfentwicklung von Hand anwerfen, damit das
in der Dampfleitung und dem Zylinder befindliche Kondenswasser entweichen kann.
Dadurch setzt sich die Dampfmaschine in Betrieb.
15. Nach Beendigung des Dampfbetriebes und dem Abkühlen sollte die Dampfma-
schine gewartet werden. Noch im Kessel vorhandenes Wasser sollte ausgeschüttet
werden. Hierzu das Federsicherheitsventil abschrauben und vor dem Umkippen des
Modells alle losen aufgesetzten Teile abnehmen. ImVorsicht bei heißem Wasser!
Kessel verbleibendes Wasser kann der Funktion nicht schaden, aber evtl. zu Ablage-
rungen an dem Schauglas führen. Kalkrückstände am Wasserstandsschauglas oder im
Kessel auf keinem Fall mit Essig oder sonstigen stark ätzenden Mitteln entfernen
(Empfehlung : Verwendung eines kalklösendem Mittel, welches Messing und Lötzinn
nicht angreift). Zum Abschluss das Modell trockenputzen.
Garantie:
16. Alle WILESCO-Dampfmodelle durchlaufen eine Endkontrolle. Bei einem evt.
Fehler können Sie die Dampfmaschine über Ihren Fachhändler oder direkt an uns ein-
senden. Wir bitten um Verständnis, dass bereits angeheizte/gebrauchte Modelle
nicht gegen neue ausgetauscht werden können. Die häufigsten Reklamationen sind
undichte Dampfkessel. Die Lötnaht wird durch Beheizung ohne ausreichenden Was-
serstand zerstört. In solchen Fällen verflüssigt sich das Lötzinn an der Lötnaht tropfen-
förmig und der Kessel wird undicht. Dies ist ein eindeutiger Beweis, dass der Kessel
trockenbeheizt wurde. Bitte beobachten Sie stets sorgfältig den Wasserstand, da ei-
ne Trockenbeheizung jegliche Garantieansprüche ausschließt.
Umweltschutz wird auch bei uns groß geschrieben. Somit haben Sie die Möglichkeit
nach einem langen Dampfmaschinenleben diese und auch die Original-Verpackung an
uns zurückzugeben. (Versandkosten werden nicht übernommen.) Alle zurückgesand-
ten Modelle / Verpackungen werden von uns einem fachgerechten Recycling zuge-
führt.
Dieses Modell ist ausschließlich für die oben beschriebene Funktion bestimmt.
Technische Änderungen behalten wir uns vor.

Attention! Before operating this steam engine model
please read and observe thoroughly the operation
instructions. Important information and safety
precautions for your own safety:
1. For safety reasons, children should run the Steam
Engine only under supervision of adults (recommended
age: From 8 years on, not suitable for children under 36
months). While the engine is running and until its complete
cooling, the Steam Engine must be under constant
observation.
2. Each irregularity in the course of the running of the Steam Engine can be repaired
by a competent and authorized person or by WILESCO themselves. Otherwise any
warranty expires.
3. Any unauthorized alteration, repair or manipulation regarding the standard
specification will also invalidate the warranty.
4. The parts which are under steam pressure as boiler, spring loaded safety valve etc.
leave our premises only after a 100% control. The spring loaded safety valve must not
be manipulated. The running of the Steam Engine without any spring loaded
safety valve is not allowed. The spring loaded safety valve must be checked before
each running with a pression on the spring or a small pull on the upper valve rod. If
lime residues caused by hard water are on the spring loaded safety valve, the valve has
to be changed immediately.
5. Due to the principles on which your Steam Engine works, theHigh temperatures:
boiler, the boiler house, the spring loaded safety valve, the steam pipes etc. become
very hot. Do not touch in order to avoid the risk of burns.
6. During operation, take care that children do not touch any ofSafety precautions:
the moving parts.
7. AlwaysDanger if the boiler is heated without enough water!
ensure that there is enough water in the boiler of the Steam Engine.
Caution: Water has to be refilled when adding new WiTabs dry fuel
tablets. The water must always be visible at least in the lower sight
glass otherwise the joints become leaking and the boiler will be
destroyed. Any following claim, damage or consequential damage cannot be accepted.
If a leak occurs in the boiler or any other part where water or steam escape, stop the
Steam Engine immediately (remove the burner tray and operate the steam whistle).
Any necessary repair should be carried out by authorized staff or at the WILESCO
company.
8. The Steam Engine meets all safety standards and actual regulations. Each boiler has
been submitted to a bursting pressure and water test of 5 bar. The operating pressure is
max. 1,5 bar.
9. Keep the operating instructions with your Steam Engine.
10. We advise you to place the stationary Steam Engine on a non sliding surface or fix
it onto a coated chipboard (approx. 16 mm thick) with 2 woodscrews (3 x 30 mm).
Caution: Don't operate the steam model near flammable objects or on
temperature-sensitive surfaces.
Operating instructions
11. Unscrew the spring loaded safety valve and fill the boiler with the funnel approx.
3/4 full (upper water gauge glass), if possible with warm water. Lift the funnel slightly
so that the air inside the boiler can escape. Use only deficient in lime water or, even
better, water without any lime (e.g. distilled water). Then refit the spring-loaded
safety valve.
12. Oil a bit allOil the piston only when there is no pressure in the boiler.
bearings and linkages as shown on the picture on the 1st page. Before refilling the
boiler with water, check that there is no pressure is in the boiler by turning the
flywheel.
13. Place 1 WiTabs dry fuel tablet upright in the burner slide and light it.
Use only the original WILESCO burner slide. Caution: because of the
risk of danger from an open flame, always take the necessary safety
precautions. The burner slide is adjustable. The oxygen supply and the
flame height can be adjusted by moving the burner slide in relation to the
air holes of the burner slide guide in the boiler house. Before adding new
fuel tablets, always check the water level and refill the boiler with water to ensure that
the boiler does not run dry. The ratio of fuel tablets to the quantity of water in the
boiler is designed so that the boiler cannot run dry without any added fuel tablets. The
burner slide must be completely pushed in. Important: After the heating process,
remove the burner slide from the guide whilst it is still hot, otherwise unburnt fuel
may cause the slide to stick. If the slide becomes stuck, it can be removed by tilting it
slightly to the left or right.
Caution: In order to burn properly, WiTabs dry fuel tablets require a lot of
oxygen That is the reason why during indoor use the room should be
well ventilated. To prevent unpleasant smells, the fuel tablets should burn
out - they should not be blown out. If there is not enough water in the
boiler, place the burner slide on a fireproof plate until the tablets have
completely burnt out .
14. When the steam generation is visible turn the flywheel by hand to let escape the
condensation in the pipes and the cylinder. Thus, the steam engine starts operating
15. After the operation of the Steam Engine and its cooling, the Engine should be
serviced. Pour out the water left in the boiler. For this, unscrew the spring loaded
safety valve and remove all loose parts before turning Engine upside down the . Be
very careful if the water is still hot! Any water left in the boiler cannot do any harm
but might leave deposits on the sight glass. Any lime formation on the sight glass or
inside the boiler must not be (advise:removed by using vinegar or corrosive agent
use a lime dissolving agent which does not attack the brass and the solder). The
building of sood on the bottom side of the boiler does not influence the function and
can be removed with a brush. Finally, dry the model using a clean cloth.
Warranty:
16. All WILESCO Steam Engines are carefully checked before leaving the factory.
However, if a problem arises, you can return the Steam Engine to a specialized
distributor or directly to WILESCO. We are sure you will understand that models
which had already been fired or used cannot be replaced by new ones. The most
frequent claims are leaking boilers. The solder will be destroyed if there is not enough
water in the boiler. In this case the solder liquefies drop-shaped and the boiler
becomes leaking. This is an obvious proof that the boiler was fired without enough
water. Please watch always carefully the water level, because the heating without
enough water excludes any warranty claim.
This Steam Engine is exclusively meant for the above described function.

Attention ! Avant la mise en marche de ce modèle d'une

soigneusement. Remarques importantes et mesures à
observer pour votre sécurité.
1. Pour des raisons de sécurité, les enfants doivent utiliser la
machine à vapeur uniquement sous la surveillance d'un
adulte (âge conseillé : à partir de 8 ans, non pas recommandé
pour enfants en dessous de 36 mois). Au cours de son
fonctionnement et jusqu à son refroidissement complet, la’
machine doit être constamment en observation.
2. Tout défaut de fonctionnement de la machine à vapeur doit être réparé par un
détaillant agréé ou par la société WILESCO elle-même. Dans le cas contraire, aucune
garantie ne pourra être prise en considération.
3. Toute modification, réparation ou manipulation de la machine non prévue dans le
mode d'emploi annule la responsabilité.
4. Toutes les pièces soumises à la pression comme la chaudière, la soupape de sécurité
à ressort, etc. sont vérifiées à 100 % avant de quitter notre usine. Ne dérégler en aucun
cas la soupape de sécurité à ressort. Ne pas faire fonctionner une machine à vapeur
sans soupape de sécurité à ressort. Vérifier le bon fonctionnement de la soupape de
sécurité à ressort avant chaque utilisation de la machine à vapeur en pressant le ressort
ou en tirant brièvement la petite barre supérieure de la soupape. Si vous constatez des
résidus de calcaire au niveau de la soupape de sécurité dûs à l utilisation d eau’ ’
calcaire, changez immédiatement la soupape.
