death or injury by electric shock:
1. ALWAYS UNPLUG IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or
be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or other liquids.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water.

place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch,
where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the

9. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-
sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them
to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while it
is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair out of it.
Keep your hair away from the air inlets.

INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only. Use
on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. Standard dryers
are designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances may
trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp
fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated
higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing
so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature
that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water. To make
sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the
following test. The purpose of this test is to allow
you to make sure the water sensing system (ALCI)
is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button on
plug (see appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be an
audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI, unit should be unplugged. Then
push reset button in and reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this unit
be brought to a service center. Do not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the unit
to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset button
pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunction
in the unit. Remove plug from outlet and allow the
appliance to cool. Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally. If not,
return to an authorized Conair Service Center for
evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s well
maintained. Always treat hair right with superior quality
shampoos, conditioners, and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of your
choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry hair to remove
excess moisture. Using the dryer along with your
styling brush, start at a lower setting and direct
hot air through a section of hair at a time. Move
dryer steadily across each section so that the hot
air passes through hair. Direct air flow at hair, not
scalp. Clouds of negatively charged ions will help
to reduce static electricity, control frizzy flyaways
and contribute to your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and
free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid over-drying, do not concentrate heat on
any one section for an extended length of time.
Keep dryer moving as you style. For pinpoint
airflow, use the snap-on concentrator attachment.
4. For quick touch ups between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before styling
with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and waves,
dry hair almost completely on a warmer temperature
setting with the snap-on diffuser attachment, then
finish styling with cold shot feature to quickly close
hair shaft and lock in style.

To create extra volume, turn
head upside down while drying.
Position the airflow toward the
roots for maximum lift. When
hair is dry, toss head back and
brush hair into place.
STRAIGHTENING
Work with hair in sections when
creating a super-straight look.
Using a large round brush
(approximately 2" diameter),
hold hair taut in each section
and bend ends slightly under
as you dry.

Para uso doméstico solamente. Utilícelo solamente con
corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato p1-ha sido diseñado
para funcionar con corriente de 110–125V CA.
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una clavija
polarizada (una pata es más ancha que otra). Como
medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola
manera en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara
en la toma de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no entrara
completamente, comuníquese con un electricista. No
intente ir en contra de esta función de seguridad.

GUÍA DE OPERACIÓN PARA LOS

El usar este aparato en el mismo circuito o con
el mismo fusible que otros aparatos podría
activar el interruptor de circuito de 15 amperios
o quemar un fusible de 15 amperios. NUNCA
reemplace el fusible por uno de mayor
capacidad que la del circuito. Esto podría
provocar un incendio eléctrico.
PRUEBE EL INTERRUPTOR DE CONTROL DE
POTENCIA ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un interruptor de
control de potencia (ALCI por sus siglas en inglés)
que apaga el aparato inmediatamente si éste cae al
agua. Haga la prueba siguiente antes de cada uso
para asegurarse de que el interruptor de control
de potencia y el sistema de detección de agua
funcionen debidamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de prueba
(véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar. Se oirá un clic y el
botón de reinicio saltará.
3. Para reajustarlo, desconecte el aparato. Oprima el
botón de reajuste y vuelva a conectar el cable.
4. Si el interruptor de control de potencia no
funcionara correctamente, regrese el aparato
a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cayera al agua, es muy importante
que lo regrese a un centro de servicio autorizado.
No intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el interruptor de control de potencia
antes de cada uso para asegurarse de que esté
operativo.
Si el secador se apagara y el botón de reinicio
saltara durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal
funcionamiento. Si esto ocurriera, desconecte el
aparato y permita que enfríe. Conecte el cable a la
toma de corriente.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. Si no
fuera el caso, regréselo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para que lo revisen y lo reparen.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un corte de cabello
bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello con
champúes, acondicionadores y productos de peinado
de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los productos
deseados. Enjuague bien. Séquelo con una toalla
para eliminar el exceso de agua. Seque el cabello
usando simultáneamente el secador y un cepillo.
Coloque el cepillo debajo de cada sección de
cabello y dirija el flujo de aire tibio hacia la parte
superior del cabello. Mueva el secador lenta
y simultáneamente hasta las puntas. Dirija el
flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el cuero
cabelludo. Su secador genera iones negativos que
ayudan a reducir la estática y el frizz, mientras
agregan brillo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato sin
obstrucciones y libres de cabello.
3. Para no lastimar el cabello, no concentre el flujo
de aire en una sección solamente. Mueva el
secador constantemente. Para más precisión,
utilice el concentrador de aire.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados, rocíe
un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de secarlo.
5. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles y ondas,
seque el cabello casi por completo usando
eldifusor de aire con aire tibio,
y luego fije el
peinado usando el disparo de aire frío.
CUERPO & VOLUMEN
Para dar más volumen al
cabello, incline la cabeza hacia
delante durante el secado. Dirija
el flujo de aire hacia la raíz para
obtener más cuerpo. Cuando el
cabello esté seco, péinese en la
forma deseada.
ALISADO
Trabaje sección por sección.
Para alisar el cabello,
estire cada sección con un
cepillo redondo grande de
aproximadamente 5 cm de
diámetro. Doble un poco las
puntas hacia abajo mientras seca.
HERMOSAS ONDAS
Para crear ondas despeinadas
de apariencia natural, estruje las
