10/100/1000Base-T mit 60W PoE+ und dual mode 100/1000Base-X SFP (auto detection). Der
Ethernet-Port unterstützt sowohl den Halbduplex- als auch den Vollduplex-Modus. Je nach
Bedarf können verschiedene Arten von optional erhältlichen SFP-Modulen verwendet werden.
Dank dem robusten Metallgehäuse und dem erweiterten Betriebstemperaturbereich von -40°C
bis 80°C ist er für eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen auch in rauen Umgebungen geeignet. Die
Stromversorgung erfolgt über den Terminal Block (12~48VDC). Der EX-60340 unterstützt Auto-
MDI/MDI-X und Auto-Negotation. Im Lieferumfang ist ein DIN-Rail Kit (vormontiert) und ein
Wandmontagebügel enthalten.

ATTENTION!
Please pay attention to the correct polarity!
Never connect the power supply to the terminal block
while it is switched on!
Redundant power supply possible to reduce operational failure.
Both power supplies must use the same voltage!

RJ45 Port:
Please read the following installation instructions.
1. Install the EX-60340 on a mounting rail using the DIN-Rail kit or on the wall using the wall
mounting bracket.
2. Slide the optionally available SFP transceiver into the SFP slot.
3. Connect your network device (PoE IP Camera etc.) to the switch using a network cable.
4. Connect the fiber optic cable used to connect to the media converter or switch to the SFP
transceiver you are using.
CAUTION! Do not look directly into the laser beam of the fiber optic connector!
5. Connect the power connector of the optionally available power supply to the terminal block
and switch on the power supply.
6. After the power is turned on, the PWR indicator lights up. If the indicator does not light up,
check that it is connected to the power supply correctly.
7. When all cables are connected correctly, the indicators light up according to the port status
of the LEDs (page 5).

Procedure for STP Cable Grounding
When using shielded cables to connect two Ethernet devices, a ground loop may occur if the
shielding on the cables generates an additional grounding connection path. This can cause
ground current to flow through to the Ethernet ports and damage the devices. If it is necessary
metallic connector on the other end. Alternatively, a patch panel can be used in between the
two devices to prevent ground loops from occurring.
Switch off the power supply before disconnecting modules or wires.
The propper power supply voltage is indicated on the product label. Check the voltage of your
power source to ensure you are using the correct voltage. DO NOT use a voltage higher than
what is specified on the product.
SFP Transceivers are a Class 1 Laser/LED product.
To avoid causing serious damage to your eyes, do not stare directly into the
laser beam.
NOTICE & CLEANING
To clean the device, please use only a dry, non-fibrous cloth and remove the dirt with light
pressure. In the area of the connections, please make sure that no fibers of the cloth are left in
the socket.
Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!

Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Installationshinweise.
1. Installieren Sie den EX-60340 mit dem DIN-Rail Kit auf eine Tragschiene oder mit der
Wandmontagehalterung an die Wand.
2. Schieben Sie das optional erhältliche SFP Transceiver Modul in den SFP-Slot.
3. Verbinden Sie Ihr Netzwerkgerät (PoE Kamera etc.) über ein Netzwerkkabel mit dem
Switch.
4. Verbinden Sie das fiberoptische Kabel für die Verbindung zum Media Konverter oder
Switch mit dem verwendeten SFP Transceiver.
ACHTUNG! Blicken Sie nicht direkt in den Laserstrahl des Glasfaseranschlusses!
5. Schließen Sie den Stromanschluss des optional erhältlichen Netzteils an den Terminal
Block an und schalten Sie das Netzteil ein.
6. Nach dem Einschalten des Geräts leuchtet die PWR-Anzeige. Wenn die Anzeige nicht
leuchtet, überprüfen Sie den korrekten Anschluss an die Stromversorgung.
7. Wenn alle Kabel korrekt angeschlossen sind, leuchten die Anzeigen entsprechend dem
Portstatus der LEDs (Seite 2).

The EX-60340 compact industrial-grade media converter provides reliable conversion between
copper and fiber optic environments. It is compatible with 10/100/1000Base-T with 60W PoE+
and dual mode 100/1000Base-X SFP (auto detection). The Ethernet port supports both half-
duplex and full-duplex modes. Different types of optionally available SFP modules can be used
depending on the requirements. Thanks to the rugged metal housing and the extended opera-
ting temperature range of -40°C to 80°C, it is suitable for a wide range of applications even in
harsh environments. Power is supplied via the terminal block (12~48VDC). The EX-60340
supports Auto-MDI/MDI-X and Auto-Negotiation. Included is a DIN rail kit (pre-assembled) and a
wall mounting bracket.

HINWEISE & REINIGUNG
Verhalten bei STP-Kabelerdung
Bei der Verwendung von geschirmten Kabeln zur Verbindung zweier Ethernet-Geräte kann eine
Erdungsschleife entstehen, wenn die Abschirmung der Kabel einen zusätzlichen
Erdungsverbindungspfad erzeugt. Dies kann dazu führen, dass Erdungsstrom zu den Ethernet-
Anschlüssen fließt und die Geräte beschädigt. Wenn es notwendig ist, geschirmte Kabel zu
verwenden, empfehlen wir die Verwendung eines metallischen RJ45-Steckers an einem Ende
und eines nicht-metallischen Steckers am anderen Ende. Alternativ kann ein Patchpanel
zwischen den beiden Geräten verwendet werden, um Erdschleifen zu vermeiden.
Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung aus, bevor Sie Module oder Kabel abziehen.
Die richtige Netzspannung ist auf dem Produkt angegeben. Überprüfen Sie die Spannung Ihrer
Stromquelle, um sicherzustellen, dass Sie die richtige Spannung verwenden. Verwenden Sie
KEINE höhere als die auf dem Produkt angegebene Spannung.
SFP Transceiver sind Laser/LED-Produkte der Klasse 1.

Zur Reinigung des Gerätes verwenden Sie bitte ausschließlich ein trockenes nicht faserndes
Tuch und entfernen Sie die Verschmutzung mit leichtem Druck. Im Bereich der Anschlüsse bitte
darauf achten, dass keine Fasern des Tuchs in der Buchse hinterlassen werden.
Verwenden Sie bitte zu Reinigung in keinem Fall ein feuchtes oder nasses Tuch!
