 Introducon

DRA is a DIN rail power supply series featuring adjustable output current. Users are able to set its output current to

a range of 10% - 100% of rated current via 1-10Vdc, PWM signal or resistance. Like other Mean Well s DIN series, ’

they can be mounted on a TS35 Standard DIN rail.

 Installaon

（）1 Always allow good venlaon clearances, 5mm le and right, 40mm above and 20mm below, around the unit

in use to prevent it from overheang. Also a 10-15 cm clearance must be kept when the adjacent device is a

heat source.

（）2 The appropriate mounng orientaon for the unit is vercal, the input terminals the bottom and output on at

the top. Mounng orientaons other than that, such as upside down, horizontal, or table-top mounng, is not

allowed.

（）3 Use copper wire only, and recommended wires are shown as below.

Note Current each wire carries should be de-rated to 80% of the current suggested ：

above when using 4-6 wires connected to the unit.

Make sure that all strands of each stranded wire enter the terminal connecon and the screw terminals are

securely xed to prevent poor contact. If the power supply possesses mul-output terminals, please make

sure each contact is connected to wires to prevent too much current stress on a single contact.

（）4 Use wires that can withstand temperatures of at least 80°C, such as UL1007.

（）5 Recommended wire strapping length m (0.197 . is 5m ”)

（）6 Recommended screwdriver is 3 , sloed type.mm

（）7 The recommended torque seng for terminals(TB1) is 5 kgf‐cm (4.4 Lb‐in),

terminals(TB2) is 5 5 .8 kgf‐cm ( Lb‐in).

（）8 Each unit requires 0.15mA when dimming funcon is used. Please make sure your controller is capable of

driving the units.

（）9 Suggested fuse and maximum number of the DRA that can be connected to a circuit breaker at 230V are shown

（）10 Mounng Instrucon ：

Mount as shown in gure only, with input terminals down, or else sucient cooling will not be possible.

Admissible DIN rail：TS35/7.5 or TS35/15

For rail fastening ：

（）a Tilt the unit slightly rearwards.

（）b Fit the unit over top hat rail.

（）c Slide it downward unl it hits the stop.

（）d Press against the bottom for locking.

（）e Shake the unit slightly to check the locking acon.

（）1Risk of electrical shock and energy hazard. All failure should be examined by a qualied technician. Please do

not remove the case of the power supply by yourself!

（）2Risk of electric arcs and electric shock (danger to life). Connecng both t primary and the secondary sides he

together is not allowed.

（）3Risk of burn hazard. Do not touch the unit in operaon and shortly aer disconnecon!

（）4 Risk of re and short circuit. The openings should be protected from foreign objects or dripping liquids.

（）5 Only install the unit in a polluon degree 2 environment (Note.1).

（）6 Please do not install the unit in places with high moisture or near the water.

（）7The maximum operang temperature is 45 for the DRA- - , for the DRA- -24, DRC-60A and °C 60 12 50°C 60

DRC-60B, for the DRA- -12/24, DRC-40A and DRC-40B, please do not install the unit in places with high 55°C 40

ambient temperature or near re source.

（）8 The FG ( ) must be connected to (Protecve Earth). PE

（）9 Output current and output waage must not exceed the rated value on its specicaon.
