Rechargeable Flashlight

WARNING

 Lithium Ion must be used and charged properly. Improper use can result in serious

injury, fire, or death.

 Do not use in explosive atmospheres, near flammable liquids, or where explosion

proof lamps are required

 DO NOT use in the proximity of vehicles or equipment when there is a risk of

flammable liquids coming into contact with the flashlight

 Do not leave the battery in direct sunlight or use or store the battery inside cars in

hot weather.

 Do not expose the battery to water or salt water, or allow the battery to get wet.

 Do not store the battery with metallic objects that may cause a short circuit.

 Immediately discontinue use of the battery if the battery emits an unusual smell,

feels hot, changes color, changes shape or appears abnormal in any way.

 Keep out of the reach of children

using your NIGHTSTICK. It includes

important safety and operation

information. Be sure to charge the

NIGHTSTICK fully before the first use.

A battery is fully charged when the

charger light is green.

CHARGING

 Be sure to follow the rules listed below while charging the battery. Failure to do so

may cause the battery to become hot, rupture or ignite and cause serious damage

or injury.

 Turn off the light while charging.

 Charge at a moderate temperature, do not charge below freezing

 Discontinue using charger and/or battery if the light or battery becomes excessively

warm during charging.

 Do not overheat or overcharge. In extreme cases this may lead to combustion.

 Several partial discharges with frequent recharges are better for lithium-ion battery

life than a single deep charge.

 Keep the lithium-ion battery within the rated operating ambient temperature range.

 For prolonged storage, keep the battery charged with approximately 40% charge

level or above and in a dry cool environment.

Initial Use

Fully charge the NIGHTSTICK before the first use or if the battery is new or has been

unused for several months. The charge time for maximum capacity is approximately 6

hours.

Daily Use

Use only the supplied Nightstick charge platform, battery and AC or DC adapter.

For best performance, charge the NIGHTSTICK when the flashlight beam starts to dim.

 Connect the AC power adapter to the charging platform. The LED indicator will light

with an alternating green and red pattern.

 With the flashlight facing forward, slide the Nightstick into the charging platform until

the contacts snap into place.

 The indicator changes to constant red indicating the Nightstick is properly inserted

into the charging platform and charging. The light remains red until the battery is fully

charged. At full charge, the light turns green. The total time to full charge varies

depending on the remaining charge in the battery pack.

 To confirm a full charge, keep the Nightstick in the charger and turn it on. The

charging indicator changes to red. Turn off the Nightstick. If the Nightstick is fully

charged the light turns green. If not, it remains red until full charge is completed and

the light turns green. The Nightstick can now be removed for the charger.

SAFETY

CAUTION BRIGHT LED RADIATION: AVOID DIRECT EYE EXPOSURE. NIGHTSTICK

is a Class 2 LED product per IEC 60825-1 Edition 1.2.2001.

 Do not use or charge this NIGHTSTICK in explosive or hazardous areas.

 Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the NIGHTSTICK, the charger platform,

battery or the power supply.

 Use only the NIGHTSTICK charging platform, AC or DC adapters and battery pack.

 Using this NIGHTSTICK product for other than a lighting device is not recommended.

Bayco specifically disclaims liability for other than intended use.

OPERATION

The 9612 / 9614 flashlights have five light modes: momentary, full brightness, medium

brightness, low brightness and strobe. The 9612 has a single body switch. The 9614 has

an additional tail-cap switch that operates in tandem with the body switch allowing

access to all modes from either switch.

Momentary Mode

 Lightly press the body switch for momentary operation.

Constant High Brightness

 Fully press the body switch for constant-on.

Select Brightness Level

 From the constant-on mode continue pressing the switch. The light will cycle from

high to medium to low brightness and then reset the cycle. When the desired

brightness level is reached remove your finger from the switch and the light will

remain at that brightness. Pressing and holding the switch will restart the brightness

selection cycle.

Strobe Function

 From off or any mode, rapidly double click the switch to activate the strobe function

running at full brightness.

Chemical Resistance

The housing is made from aluminum alloy that is resistant to most automotive and

industrial chemicals.

Waterproof and Impact

The 9612 /9614 meets IP-X7., 1 meter for 30 minutes.

EMI

The charging platform and light are electromagnetically compatible with FCC regulations

CFR-47, Part 15, Sub-Part B and Class A.

Battery

NIGHTSTICK is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack.

Charging

The flashlight can is charged in the charging platform by using the AC power adapter, DC

power cord or standard USB port found on most laptop computers. A standard USB

Type-A to Mini-B cable is required.

CHARGER MOUNTING

Mounting the charger platform requires two #8 screws (not provided). Use the Bayco

supplied 12V DC fused auto adapter plug for temporary vehicle installations. For

permanent wiring, the installation must be fused using a 3-amp in-line fuse. The DC input

terminal that connects to the base of the charger platform is center-positive. Installation

charger platform to the PC using a standard USB Type-A to Mini-B cable.

EXTEND RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM ION BATTERY LIFE

The NIGHTSTICK rechargeable Lithium –ion battery pack does not have a memory

effect and has a slow loss of charge when not in use.

Charging the battery pack often helps extend its useful life.

 Charge the unit after each use, whether the NIGHTSTICK is fully discharged or not.

 Store the NIGHTSTICK at room temperature

WARRANTY

Go to www.baycoproducts.com and follow the easy to use instructions at Warranty

Registration.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Product is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the

lifetime of the original owner. Includes the housing, lenses, electronics and switches.

Rechargeable batteries and chargers are warranted for a period of one year. Primary

batteries, normal wear and abuse are excluded.

Product Use - If this product is used for rental purposes, the warranty term is reduced to

90 days from the date of purchase.

Not Covered

 The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The

warranty also does not cover damages which occurred in shipment or failures which

are caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, faulty installation and lightning damage.

 Consequential damages, incidental damages or incidental expenses, including

damage to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental

or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from state to state.

 This warranty does not apply to certain Bayco professional products that carry a

specific warranty unique to those products.

cs@baycoproducts.com and Bayco Customer Service will provide a Return Goods

Authorization (RGA) to facilitate rapid warranty action. After receiving the RGA, send the

product (shipping prepaid) to BAYCO • 640 S. SANDEN BLVD • WYLIE, TEXAS • 75098.

Include a dated proof of purchase and a brief description of the defect with your name,

address and phone number. Your product will either be repaired or replaced at the option

of Bayco and returned as soon as practical, but no later than 45 days after being

received by Bayco.

SPECIFICATIONS

CHARGE

 Les changements des indicateurs au rouge constante indiquant le Nightstick est

correctement insérée dans le chargement plate-forme et la charge. La lumière reste

rouge jusqu'à ce que la batterie est complètement chargée. A pleine charge, le

voyant passe au vert. Le temps total pour la pleine charge varie en fonction de la

charge restante dans la batterie.

 Pour confirmer une charge complète, garder la Nightstick dans le chargeur et

allumez-le. L'indicateur vire au rouge de chargement. Eteignez le Nightstick. Si le

Nightstick est entièrement chargé, le voyant devient vert. Si non, il reste rouge
