WARNING
• By ignoring the safety instructions the

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or
plastic from the device.
• Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface with a minimal
of 10cm free space around the appliance.
• Put the power cable into the socket.
• Always place the inner pot A

inside the outer pot before switching on the rice cooker.
• Make sure that the inner pot A
2
contains liquid, or be ready to immediately add oil,
butter or margarine to the inner pot before switching on the rice cooker.
• Always dry the outer surface of the inner pot A
2
before placing it inside the cooker.
Any moisture remaining on the inner pot surface may cause a cracking noise while the
unit is heating up.
• When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal,
ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.
USE
• Use the measuring cup A

provided to measure the desired quantity of rice. As a
guide one cup of rice is sufficient for one person, but this will vary according to
individual tastes. Fill the cup with rice leveling the top.
• Thoroughly wash the rice in several changes of clean water and drain. If you don't
wash the rice this may cause poor results and/or a buildup of steam within the
appliance. Do not wash the rice in the inner bowl A
2
as you may damage it.
• Put the rice in the inner bowl A
2
and level the surface of the rice. Add sufficient cold
water to the corresponding level marked on the bowl e.g. to cook 3 cups of rice, place
the washed rice into the inner bowl and then fill with water up to the 3 cup level marked
on the inner bowl. You may adjust the amount of water added for your own personal
taste. For a softer rice add a little more water, and for a firmer rice a little less water.
• Place the inner bowl A

in the rice cooker ensuring that there is no rice or any
moisture on the outside of the bowl.
• Cover with the lid A

, ensuring that the vent hole in the lid is situated away from the
operator.
• Connect the appliance to the power supply and switch on A

provided to fluff up the rice which is then ready to eat. Replace the lid as
quickly as possible. Consume the stirred rice within 1 hour.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always clean the device after each use.
• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Never use aggressive chemical cleaning agents that can damage the appliance when
cleaning the appliance.
• Never use any sharp or metal objects when cleaning the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids or place it in a dishwasher.
• The accessories are not dishwasher safe.
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use
separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information
regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are
disposed of in landlls or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into
the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and

WAARSCHUWING
• Door de veiligheidsinstructies te negeren, kan de
fabrikant niet verantwoordelijk worden gehouden
voor de schade.
• Als de voedingskabel beschadigd is, moet deze
worden vervangen door de fabrikant, diens
servicedienst of gelijkwaardig gekwalificeerd
personeel om gevaren te voorkomen.
• Verplaats het apparaat nooit door aan het snoer te
trekken en zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet verstrikt
raakt.
• Dit apparaat is uitsluitend voor huishoudelijk
gebruik en voor het doel waar het voor bestemd is.

en het apparaat loskoppelen. Neem vervolgens
contact op met uw servicecentrum voor reparatie.
Repareer het niet zelf.

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos. Verwijder de stickers, beschermende
folie of plastic van het apparaat.
• Zet het apparaat op een stabiele, vlakke, hitte- en vochtbestendige ondergrond met
minimaal 10cm vrije ruimte rond het apparaat.
• Steek de stroomkabel in het stopcontact.
• Plaats de binnenpan A
2
altijd in de buitenpan voordat u de rijstkoker aanzet.
• Zorg ervoor dat de binnenpan A
2
vloeistof bevat, of wees klaar om onmiddellijk olie,
boter of margarine aan de binnenpan toe te voegen voordat u de rijstkoker aanzet.
• Droog altijd de buitenkant van de binnenpan A
2
voordat u deze in de rijstkoker
plaatst. Vocht dat achterblijft op het oppervlak van de binnenpan kan een krakend
geluid veroorzaken wanneer het apparaat opwarmt.
• Wanneer het apparaat voor de eerste keer wordt ingeschakeld, kan er een lichte geur
vrijkomen. Dit is normaal, zorg voor voldoende ventilatie. Deze geur is slechts tijdelijk
en verdwijnt snel.
GEBRUIK
• Gebruik de meegeleverde maatbeker A
7
om de gewenste hoeveelheid rijst af te
meten. Als richtlijn is één kopje rijst voldoende voor één persoon, maar dit kan variëren
afhankelijk van de individuele smaak. Vul de beker met rijst tot aan de bovenkant.
• Was de rijst grondig door een aantal keren te spoelen met schoon water en laat
vervolgens uitlekken. Als u de rijst niet wast, kan dit leiden tot een slecht resultaat en/of
een ophoping van stoom in het apparaat. Was de rijst niet in de binnenkom A
2
; dit
kan de kom beschadigen.
• Doe de rijst in de binnenkom A
2
en maak het oppervlak van de rijst vlak. Voeg
voldoende koud water toe tot het corresponderende niveau dat is aangegeven op de
kom. Om bijvoorbeeld 3 kopjes rijst te koken, doet u de gewassen rijst in de binnenkom
en vult u deze met water tot het niveau van 3 kopjes dat is aangegeven op de
binnenkom. U kunt de hoeveelheid water aanpassen naar uw eigen smaak. Voeg voor
een zachtere rijst iets meer water toe en voor een stevigere rijst iets minder water.
• Plaats de binnenkom A
2
in de rijstkoker en zorg ervoor dat er geen rijst of vocht aan
de buitenkant van de kom zit.
• Dek af met het deksel A
1
en zorg dat het ontluchtingsgat in het deksel uit de buurt
blijft van de persoon die de koker bedient.
• Sluit het apparaat aan op de stroom en schakel A
9
het in. Zet de
bedieningsschakelaar A
4
in de stand 'COOK'. Het kooklampje gaat nu branden.
• Zodra de rijst gaar is, schakelt het apparaat automatisch naar de stand 'WARM' en
gaat het lampje voor warmhouden A
5
branden.
• Til het deksel voorzichtig op A
1
en laat eventuele condens in de rijstkoker druppelen.
Gebruik de bijgeleverde spatel

om de rijst op te schuimen waarna deze klaar is om
te eten. Plaats het deksel zo snel mogelijk terug. Consumeer de geroerde rijst binnen 1
uur.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
• Reinig het apparaat altijd na elk gebruik.
• Haal voor het schoonmaken de stekker uit het stopcontact en wacht tot het apparaat
afgekoeld is.
• Gebruik bij het schoonmaken van het apparaat nooit agressieve chemische
schoonmaakmiddelen die het apparaat kunnen beschadigen.
• Gebruik bij het schoonmaken van het apparaat nooit scherpe of metalen voorwerpen.
• Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of andere vloeistoffen en plaats het ook niet
in de afwasmachine.
• De accessoires zijn niet vaatwasmachinebestendig.
VERWIJDERING
Gooi elektrische apparaten niet weg met ongesorteerd huisvuil, maak
gebruik van de faciliteiten voor gescheiden inzameling. Neem contact op
met je gemeente voor informatie over de beschikbare inzamelsystemen.
Weggooien van elektrische apparaten op vuilstortplaatsen kan maken
dat gevaarlijke stoen in het grondwater lekken en in de voedselketen
terechtkomen, wat schadelijk is voor je gezondheid en welzijn. Als je oude
apparaten vervangt door nieuwe, is de verkoper wettelijk verplicht je oude
apparaat terug te nemen voor gratis verwijdering.
