ⅠIntroducing CM8
Before using for the first time, please fully charge the gimbal. Use a
5V2A charging adapter and the Type-C charging cable included with
your purchase to charge the gimbal.
A red light indicates that it is charging, and a green light (solid) means
the battery is fully charged.
Ⅳ Calibration
1.Unfold the gimbal.
2.Following the sticker guide on the phone clamp, attach the phone to
the clamp. Ensure the tracking camera is on the bottom(AI Version)
and the phone’s camera is on the left.
3.Adjust the phone's position by sliding it left or right to achieve
balance. If the phone tilts to the left, slide it right; if it tilts to the
right, slide it left until it’s balanced, as shown in the picture.

Ⅶ Product Specifications
Firmware updates can be done through the Capture 2 app. Before
updating, make sure the gimbal has enough battery. Once connected
to Bluetooth, ensure the app has network connectivity.
Then, in the app's shooting interface, open the settings menu on the
left side, find and click "Gimbal Version" to begin the upgrade. A
progress bar will show the update process, which typically takes
around 3 minutes.
5.V Mode (Inception Mode)

roll of the camera, while push-pull movements create dreamlike visual effects.

Ⅴ Using the Gimbal
1. Mode Indicator
Switch between five modes: PF, F, L, POV, and V.

4.Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power on the
gimbal. The gimbal will start stabilizing (the first mode light and
battery light will stay on).
Ⅲ Unfolding & Folding
Hold the phone clamp with your left hand and the handle with your
right hand, then unfold the arm as shown in the picture.
After use, power off the gimbal. Rotate the tilt motor so that the phone
clamp is facing downward, then fold the arm downward, allowing the

After powering on, the CM8 gimbal defaults to PF mode, and you can
switch modes using the M button.
Double-click the joystick to switch to portrait mode.
1.PF Mode (Pan Follow)
Automatically enters PF mode after powering on. The phone ’ s camera follows the
gimbal ’ s left-right movement, suitable for walking shots.
2.F Mode (Dual-Axis Follow)
In F mode, the phone ’ s camera follows both the left-right and up-down movements
of the gimbal, ideal for capturing everyday life or object-focused footage.
3.L Mode (Lock Mode)
L mode locks the camera ’ s shooting angle. When you long-press the trigger button,
the gimbal aut omatically enters this mode and will remain locked until you release
it. This mode is for capturing fixed-direction shots.
4.POV Mode (All-Axis Follow)
The phone’s camera follows the gimbal’s movements, great for creative shots.

100%-20%: Green battery indicator stays on.

Long press: Switch between video and photo mode.
Single press: Capture a photo or start video
recording, depending on the current

Double press: Switch between the front and rear

Controls the gimbal's pitch and yaw movements.
Double press the joystick to switch between portrait
and landscape orientation.

Long press (3 seconds): Power the gimbal on or off.
Single press: View the gimbal's battery level.

Turn: Perform zooming or focusing actions.
Single press: Switch between zoom and
focus modes.

1. During the upgrade process, do not exit the Capture 2 app or switch to the background.
2. After a successful upgrade, the gimbal will automatically power off. To use it normally, you will

3. If the upgrade fails, restart both the gimbal and the app, then reconnect the gimbal via Bluetooth
through the app before trying the upgrade again.

(1) Panorama lmage Quality: Low, Medium, High. This refers to the pixel quality
when shooting panoramas. If the phone's performance is low, it's recommended to
use low resolution to improve the stitching rate.

Set flash, grid, image aspect ratio, joystick sensitivity, and adjust the joystick's speed
to Slow,Medium, or Fast. Left-right reverse and up-down direction change the
joystick's control direction opposite to the default.
AUTO Mode: Automatically adjusts is0 (sensitivity) and Shutter speed, while allowing
manual adjustment of EV (exposure value).
M (Manual) Mode: Allows manual adjustment of iSO and Shutter speed, while EV is
set automatically.
*For Static Time-Lapse, set the interval and duration at the top of
the screen, then press the shutter button.
*For Track Time-Lapse, after setting the interval and duration, you
can select up to5 gimbal position points (controlled by the joystick).
After pressing record, the gimbal will move the phone to the
selected position points and take photos in sequence.
Intelligent Tracking, Modes include face tracking, target tracking and human shape
tracking.
Face Tracking: Automatically locks onto and tracks the most prominent face in the
frame.
Target Tracking: Requires manually selecting, the object to be tracked on the screen
before it can be locked and tracked.
Human Shape Tracking: Automatically detects and tracks the torso of a human body
based on recognition results (does not lock onto a specific person).
Note: After recognizing a face or human shape, a green selection box will appear. A
green selection box will also appear when an object is recognized. lf the target object
