Thismanual applies totheED80Sf occasionallyandED100Sftelescopes.Youmay find  descriptions in

the thetextnotrelevanttoyour particular model.Read instructionsforyourmountalongwiththis

manual if youpurchased package.the telescope as a complete 



WARNING!

Neverlookdirectlyatthe thesun with  telescopeor oritsfinder guidescope.

Permanentandirreversible    eye damage may result.



CAUTION

Donotleavethe tubeoptical uncapped in thedaytime.Sunlightpassing through the

telescopeorfinderscope    may cause a fire.

               Do not use the product while moving or walking, injuries could result from a collision

withobjectsor orfromstumbling falling.

 Keep smallcaps, plastic plastic children.  bags, or packingmaterialsawayfrom These

may suffocation.cause a dangerof orswallowing  

                Do not use the product in a wet environment and do not handle with wet hands.



HANDLING AND STORAGE

                Do not leave the product inside a car in bright sunshine or in other hot places.Keep

any heatstrong sourcesawayfromtheproduct.

             When cleaning, do not use solvents such as paint thinner or similar products.

           Do not expose the product to rain, water, dirt or sand.

               Avoid touching any lens or mirror surfaces directly with your hands.In case a lens or

mirrorbecomesdirtywithfingerprints wipeorgeneralsmears,gently  it using a

commercially aavailablelenscleanerand lenscleaningpaperorcloth,orconsultyour

localVixen dealer. 

             Blow off dust on lenses using a commercially available blower brush.Do not use

compressedair.

                For storage, keep the product in a dry place and do not expose to direct sunlight.



SETTING UP THE TELESCOPE-        Refer to your mount instructions along with this manual.

Slidethedovetailmountedscope dovetailintothe 

mountingblockasshowninthefigure.Tightenthe

dovetaillockscrew notch)(centeredonthe onto

thedovetailtubeplateuntilsnug.

Firsttightenthe dovetail the the lockscrew,andthentighten smallchrome safety screwonto dovetail mounting blockuntil

snug.
