IMPORTANTES
Siempre que use aparatos eléctricos,

Secador de doble voltaje:
16. Asegúrese que el botón de selección del
voltaje está en la posición correcta antes de

17. Asegúrese que el selector de voltaje esté
en la posición correcta antes de encender el

18. El selector de voltaje del aparato fue puesto
en la posición “125” por el fabricante, para uso
en países con suministro eléctrico de 110/125
voltios. La sección “Información Adicional” de
este manual le explicará como utilizar el seca-
dor en países con suministro eléctrico de
220/250 voltios.
INSTRUCCIONES
DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñado para uso profesional.
Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna de 110
a 125V (60 hertzios). Si su secador es de doble
voltaje, vea la sección “Información Adicional”
a continuación
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (un polo es más ancho que
otro). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá
enchufar de una sola manera en el tomacorriente.
Si no entrara por completo, inviértela. Si aún no
entrara completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente vencer esta función de
seguridad.
IMPORTANTE
GUÍA DE OPERACIÓN PARA EL
SECADOR DE 1875 VATIOS
El usar este aparato en el mismo circuito
o con el mismo fusible que otros aparatos
podría activar el interruptor de circuito de 15
amperios o quemar un fusible de 15 amperios.
NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de
mayor capacidad que la del circuito. Esto
podría provocar un incendio eléctrico.
PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD
ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito
de seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage
Circuit Interrupter), que apaga el aparato
inmediatamente si éste cayera al agua. Haga
la prueba siguiente para asegurarse que
el sistema de detección de agua funcione
correctamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un clic
y el botón de reajuste saltará.
3. Para reajustarlo, desconecte el aparato,
apriete el botón de reajuste luego vuelva a
conectar el aparato.
4. Si el cortacircuito de seguridad no
funcionara correctamente, regrese el
aparato a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cayera al agua, es muy importante
que lo mande a un centro de servicio autorizado.
No intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de
cada uso para asegurarse que esté operativo.
Si el secador se apagara y el botón de reajuste
saltara durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal
funcionamiento. Si esto ocurriera, desconecte el
aparato, permita que enfríe y conéctelo otra vez.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. Si no
fuera el caso, regréselo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para que lo revisen y lo reparen.

Seque el cabello usando simultáneamente el

cabello. Mueva el cepillo y el secador lenta y
simultáneamente hasta las puntas, dirigiendo
el flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el
cuero cabelludo.
2. Su secador genera una nube de iones
negativos que ayudan a reducir la electricidad
estática y a controlar los cabellos sueltos, al
mismo tiempo que agregan brillo.
3. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato
sin obstrucciones y libres de pelo.
4. Para no lastimar el cabello, no concentre el
flujo de aire en una sección solamente.
5. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes
de secarlo.
6. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles
y ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
usando un ajuste de temperatura bajo, luego
fije el peinado usando el disparo de aire frío.
Esto reducirá aún más la electricidad estática
y agregará brillo, para un acabado perfecto.

INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz)
only. Standard Dryers are designed to operate
at 110 to 125 volts A.C. For special dual voltage
dryers, see Additional Information.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
OPERATING GUIDE
1. Pull cord out slowly from dryer. Stop pull-
ing when you see the red mark. DO NOT
JERK CORD.
2. Plug in dryer, then turn on heat/speed switch.
3. To retract cord, hold dryer vertically upright
and away from your face. Grasp the plug with
one hand, then press and hold the retract button
with the other. Guide the cord and keep it from
twisting. If the cord does not retract completely,
pull it out slightly and wind it again guiding it
into the reel. DO NOT RETRACT CORD WHILE
DRYER IS PLUGGED IN. DO NOT ALLOW SMALL
CHILDREN TO HANDLE THE RETRACTIVE POWER
CORD AS THIS MAY CAUSE THE CORD TO “WHIP”
AND CAUSE INJURY.

1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances may
trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp
fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated
higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing
so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE DRYER.
This hair dryer is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety fea-
ture that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in water.
To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly,
perform the following test: The purpose of this
test is to allow you to make sure the exclusive
water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in hair dryer and press test button on
plug (see appropriate diagram below).
2. Hair dryer will stop working. There will be an
audible click and a reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button: Unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
hair dryer to an authorized Conair service
center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use hair
dryer to confirm ALCI is operational. Should the
dryer go off and the ALCI reset button pop up
during use, this could indicate a malfunction in
the dryer.
Remove plug from outlet and allow the dryer to
cool. Push reset button in and reinsert plug into
outlet. Dryer should function normally. If not,
return to an authorized Conair Service Center for
examination and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of
your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel blot hair to
remove excess moisture. Section hair. Using the
dryer along with your styling brush, direct hot
air through a section of hair at a time. Move dryer
steadily across each section so that the hot air
passes through hair. Direct air flow at hair not
scalp.
2. Built-in ion generator creates clouds of nega-
tively charged ions that will help reduce static
electricity, control frizzy flyaways and contribute
to your hair’s shine.
3. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and
free from hair while drying.
4. To avoid over drying, do not concentrate heat
on any one section for any length of time. Keep
dryer moving as you style.
5. For quick touch ups, between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before styling
with the dryer.
6. When using your dryer to create curls and
waves, dry hair almost completely on a warmer
temperature setting, then finish styling with the
Cool Shot feature to close hair shaft and lock
in style.
