The Crestron® FT2-700-MECH,FT2-700-MECH-PTL,
FT2-700-MECH-AC FT2-700-MECH-ACUSB, and the FlipTop™ cable
management systems install into a table or other horizontal surface to
provide modular connectivity. The FT2-700-MECH series feature a one-
touch lid that retracts fully and disappears with the tap of a button.
When the lid is retracted, 12 module slots are arranged in two rows of six.
The flexible modular design may also be customized with an assortment
of Crestron accessories. For more information about the accessories,

The FT2-700-MECH-PTL offers an alternative pass-through lid style
which allows cables to be fully extended while the lid is closed.
The FT2-700-MECH-AC includes an FT2A-PWR-US-1-BASIC AC power
outlet module. Similarly, the FT2-700-MECH-ACUSB includes an
FT2A-PWR-US-1-BASIC and an FT2A-CHGR-USBA-BASIC USB rapid
charging module.
The FT2-700-MECH, FT2-700-MECH-PTL, FT2-700-MECH-AC, and the
FT2-700-MECH-ACUSB are all functionally similar. For simplicity within
this document, they are all referred to as the "FT2-700 assembly."

A mounting hole is required for an FT2-700-MECH installation. Use the
included template to cut a mounting hole for new installations. The
FT2-700-MECH may also replace an FT-600 FlipTop or Extron® Cable
Cubby® 700 Cable Access Enclosure and use the existing mounting hole.
When determining the location for the FT2-700 assembly, consider where
users will be seated and their proximity to the FT2-700 assembly's
modules and retractors. Refer to the FT2A-CBLR-GR series cable
retractors for above-the-table cable pull-out lengths.
For a new mounting, follow sections Cut the Mounting Hole Secureand
the FlipTop Assembly. To use the mounting hole of an existing FT-600
FlipTop assembly, follow sections Replace the FT-600 FlipTop Assembly
and Secure the FlipTop Assembly.

A saw and the included cutout template are required to cut the mounting
hole.
1. Check the table surface and the area beneath the table. Clear any
obstructions that may impede the installation or functionality of the
FT2-700 assembly, retractors, and accessories.
2. Using the included cutout template, trace an outline of the mounting
hole onto the table.
3. Cut the mounting hole in the table with an appropriate saw.

An FT2-700 assembly may replace an FT-600 FlipTop assembly and use
the existing mounting hole. The FT-600 FlipTop assembly mounting hole is
larger than the mounting hole required for the FT2-700 assembly. The
plastic spacers (sold separately) are used to help fill the gap between the
mounting hole and the FT2-700 assembly.
