STORAGE

The respirator should be stored out of direct sunlight, in a dry and uncontaminated environment between temperature

of 14°F (-10°C) to 104°F (40° C). Spare filters should also be stored in a cool dry atmosphere, out of direct sunlight at a

between temperatures of 14°F (-10°C) to 104°F (40°C). Storage under conditions other than those specified may affec

shelf life.

FILTER INSPECTION & REPLACEMENT

DO NOT WASH FILTERS.

Inspect respirator and filter before and after use for damage such as tears or cracks and immediately replace or discard

as required.

Each filter pack is individually marked with the month and year of shelf life expiration. Shelf life is 5 years for P10

filters. Filters must be discarded when they reach their expiration date printed on the exterior of the packaging

NOTE: Filters must be selected by a competent person familiar with workplace hazards and their concentration.

Particulate filters must be changed when breathing resistance increases as the filter becomes clogged or as th

application requires

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

PARTICULATE FILTERS 60554 FOR P100 HALF MASK RESPIRATORS 60552 AND 60553

•

Filter Type: P100 <0.03% penetration

These filters are designed to fit the P100 Half Mask Respirator only, which is approved as a half-mask respirator in

accordance with NIOSH 42 CFR 84. The P100 filter is part of the approved assembly and only when the above items are

used together is the device approved for occupational applications

APPLICATIONS

The P100 half-mask respirator together with P100 filters give protection against all particulate aerosols; including solid

and liquid particules such as dust, metal fumes, and oil mist. The protection provided by classification P100 also cover

the protection provided by lower class filters. Guidelines for the selection and use may vary between countries, alway

check prior to use to ensure that your selection for the intended application meets national requirements

WARNINGS

To ensure safe operations, follow these instructions. Failure to observe these warnings instructions may result in

sickness or death.

NOT FOR USE

in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen

•

NOT FOR USE

in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health

•

DO NOT

exceed maximum use concentrations established by regulatory standards. Failure to properly use and

maintain this product could result in injury or death

Follow the manufacturers Users Instructions for changing cartridges, canisters and/or filters

•

All approved respirators shall be selected, fitted, used and maintained in accordance with MHSA, OSHA and othe

applicable regulations

•

NEVER

substitute, modify, add or omit parts. Use only exact replacement parts in the configuration as specified by the

manufacturer.

•

Refer to user’s instructions and/or maintenance manuals for information on use and maintenance of these respirators

•

NIOSH does not evaluate respirators for use as surgical masks.

•

ALWAYS

conduct a pressure face fit check prior to each use. If the check fails the respirator may be faulty or require

replacement depending on age, frequency of use and replacement of filters

The use of this respirator presupposes exact knowledge of the instructions for use, applicable health and safety

standards, guidelines for selection and use, and appropriate training in matters of personal respiratory protection

Leave the contaminated area immediately if

•

Dizziness or distress is experienced

•

You taste or smell contaminants or irritation occurs

•

Breathing becomes difficult

•

A defect is discovered in the respirator

Store respirator as per instructions

Before occupational use of this respirator a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting al

the local government requirements. In the United States employers must comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 which

includes medical evaluation, training, and fit testing

FITTING

Always check expiration date is not exceeded before unpacking replacement filter

Rotate the 1/4-Turn Latches on the Respirator Body counterclockwise (FIG. 1).

Remove Grille from Respirator Body by pulling out Sample Port Plug to expose the filters (FIG. 2).

Flex Respirator Body to remove both used filters (FIG. 3).

Slide a new filter into position with all the text facing outwards and right-side up (FIG. 4)

Carefully fit the rest of the filter into the Respirator Body using the channel on the filter and aligning the notches o

the side. To ensure that a good seal is made, the filter should be fully seated into the channel on the outside of th

Respirator Body (FIG. 4).

Repeat Steps 4 & 5 for the other filter. Always replace both filters at the same time and keep a record of the expiration

date.

Place Grille into position by pushing the Exhalation Valve surrounds over the Exhalation Valve on the Respiratory Body

Rotate the1/4-Turn Latches clockwise to secure (FIG. 6).

nsert Sample Port Plug and ensure it is fully seated before use (FIG. 7)
