To extend the functions of the alarm and emergency dialler MA80 / EW01, up
to 6 wireless detectors (MA80KM and/or MA80P) can be enrolled.
The passive infrared motion detector MA80P can be used to secure rooms.
Movements of heat sources within its detection range are detected and a
radio signal is transmitted to the MA80 / EW01.
The MA80 reacts to this signal in the same way as to a movement detected by
its built-in motion detector: if the chime function is set, a chime will sound,
and if the system is armed, an alarm will be triggered (siren and/or dialling).
Loosen the screw [1] and remove the lid of the battery compartment [2].
Connect a 9V block battery 6 LR 61 (alkaline) to the battery clip.
After approx. 1 minute, the unit is ready to operate.
Close the battery compartment again.
Each MA80P has a unique factory preset coding which must be taught to the
MA80. This procedure is described in the MA80 / EW01 manual.
Before installing the MA80P, we recommend to test its functions at the
desired mounting position. Set the chime function at the MA80 / EW01.
After approx. 1 minute, the end of the delay is confirmed by a beep. Now
move in front of the detector. The LED [3] will flash and a chime will sound
from the MA80 / EW01. If no chime can be heard, reduce the distance
between the MA80P and the MA80 / EW01.

Enrolment to the MA80 / EW01
De MA80 reageert op dit signaal op dezelfde manier als op het registreren

Voordat u de MA80P definitief bevestigt, moet u de werking op de geplande
bevestigingsplaats controleren. Daartoe schakelt u de gongfunctie van de
MA80 / EW01 in, na ongeveer 1 minuut wordt het einde van de
vertragingstijd door een geluid bevestigd, Beweeg u nu voor de melder. Het
LED- lampje [3] gaat nu aan en er klinkt een gongslag uit de MA80 / EW01.
Als er geen gongslag klinkt, moet u de afstand tussen de MA80P en de MA80
De MA80P wordt door middel van de meegeleverde houder aan de wand
bevestigd, de optimale bevestigingshoogte is1,5 á 2 meter. De melder heeft
een werkingsbereik van 8 meter over een hoek van 100°. Als de melder in de
buurt van een hoek bevestigd is, kan een hele ruimte bestreken worden.
Bewegingen dwars voor de melder langs worden eerder geregistreerd als
bewegingen recht op de melder af.
Door het kogelscharnier kan de melder optimaal gericht worden. Let bij het
bevestigen op eventuele storingsbronnen. De bewegingsmelder reageert
niet alleen op menselijke warmte, maar ook op huisdieren, tocht en andere
De detector kan buiten worden geïnstalleerd (IP44-bescherming) op een
plaats die zo goed mogelijk beschermd is tegen weersinvloeden. Zorg ervoor
dat mogelijke storingsbronnen, zoals planten die in de wind kunnen
bewegen, zich niet in het detectiegebied bevinden.
Houd huisdieren buiten het werkingsbereik als de installatie gebruikt wordt.
Richt de bewegingsmelder niet op verwarmingsradiatoren, ramen,
ventilatoren, faxapparaten, enz. Zulke warmtebronnen kunnen de
bewegingsmelder in werking stellen.
Houd de melder provisorisch op de geplande plaats en beweeg u dan binnen
het werkingsbereik. Een registratie van de beweging wordt door een
oplichten van de LED aangegeven. Als de MA80 / EW01 in de gonginstelling
staat, klinkt er een gongslag.
Verplaats de MA80 P net zo lang tot u het gewenste gebied kunt bestrijken.

Controleren van de werking
Boor een gat in de wand en stop er een van de meegeleverde pluggen in.
Draai er een schroef in tot de schroefkop ongeveer 4 mm uit de wand steekt.
Hang nu de houder aan de schroef. Markeer nu de plaats van het onderste
gat van de houder op de wand en boor dan het tweede gat, steek er een plug
in en schroef de houder van onderen vast (Fig.2). Draai nu ook de bovenste
schroef vast aan. Hang nu de melder op de houder en zet het kogelscharnier
in de juiste positie. Hebt u de optimale richting gevonden, draai dan de
positioneringschroef vast .
Door het aanbrengen van de meegeleverde maskeringfolie kunt u het
werkingsbereik verkleinen. Dit kan nuttig zijn als er een doorgang beveiligd

l'attivazione. Adesso muovetevi davanti al rivelatore. Il LED indicatore si
accende [3] e il gong suona. Se il gong non inizia a suonare diminuite la
distanza tra il MA80P e il MA80 / EW01.
Il rivelatore MA80P va montato con fissazione per parete aggiunti alla
confezione, ad un'altezza ottimale compresa tra 1,5 e 2 metri. L'area di
rilevamento è di ca. 8 metri su 100°. Il montaggio angolare permette di
captare l'ambiente intero. I movimenti traversali vanno centrati più
velocemente dal sensore che quelli diretti. Il giunto sferico permette di
orientare il rivelatore ottimale. Rispettate possibili perturbazioni al
posizionamento. Il rivelatore reagisce non solo alla temperatura del corpo
umano ma anche a quella degli animali, al vento ed altri fonti di calore.
Il rilevatore può essere installato all'esterno (grado di protezione IP44) in un
luogo il più protetto possibile dalle intemperie. Assicurarsi che eventuali
fonti di interferenza, come le piante che possono muoversi nel vento, non si
trovino nell'area di rilevamento.
Tenete lontano gli animali domestici dall'area di rilevamento se l'unità è in
uso. Non puntate il rivelatore verso un radiatore, una finestra, un ventilatore,
un fax etc. tutto ciò potrebbe attivare il rivelatore.
Posizionate il rivelatore provvisoriamente nel posto desiderato e muovetevi
nel area di rilevamento. Una spia LED indica all'utente lo stato di
funzionamento del rivelatore. Nella modalità di funzionamento gong il
rivelatore MA80 / EW01 indica lo stato di funzionamento con un suono
gong. Spostate il rivelatore MA80 P fino all'area di copertura desiderata.
Trapanate un buco nella parete, inserite il tassello compreso. Stringete la vite
fino a 4 mm dal muro. Appendete il fissaggio alla vite. Ora segnate sul muro
nel posto dove si trova l'altro buco del fissaggio e trapanate il secondo buco
. Inserite il tassello e stringete il fissaggio con la vite. Adesso
appendete il rivelatore sul fissaggio e regolate il giunto sferico. Se
l'orientamento ottimale è raggiunto stringete la vite di fissaggio .
L'utilizzo della mascherina consegnata consente di limitare l'area di
rilevamento. Questo può essere utile per sorvegliare un passaggio.
Ad ogni rivelazione si accenderà un LED [3].

Reducing the Detection Range
The MA80P is fixed to the wall with the mounting bracket supplied. The
optimal mounting height is 1.5 to 2 m. The MA80P has a detection range of
approx. 8m over 100°. If it is placed near a corner, the whole room can be

The detector can be installed outdoors (protection class IP44) in a place that
is as weatherproof as possible. Make sure that possible sources of
disturbance, such as plants that can move in the wind, are not in the

masonry plug and secure the mounting bracket with the second screw
. Now tighten the top screw as well. Hook the detector onto the
mounting bracket and adjust the ball-and-socket-joint. When the detector is
adjusted, tighten the fixing screw .
By attaching the masking film supplied you may reduce the detection range.
