Mounting
The VIP-402A- is designed to directly replace a SA
2’ X 2’ ceiling tile.
Network Connection
The VIP-402A- has one RJ-45 network SA
connector on the rear panel. Use a standard patch
cable to connect the VIP-402A- to an Ethernet SA
switch providing Power over Ethernet (PoE)
meeting the 802.3af specication. If the switch
does not provide power, a mid-span power injector
may be used. (See Figure 1)
-10 dB Line Level Out Connection
T -10dB Line Level Out may be connected to up he
to 40 Valcom Self Amplied Speakers to provide
additional sound reinforcement in an area.

SETUP
The VIP-402A- will automatically acquire an IP SA
address (using DHCP) and connect to the
Syn-Apps server when connected to the network
and powered up. Information specic to your
application will need to be programmed into the
Syn-Apps server. Refer to the Syn-Apps
documentation for further information.

the provided plug does not t into your outlet consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.

10.Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11.Only use attachments/accessories specied by the manufacturer.

12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table specied
by the manufacturer or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is
used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination
to avoid injury from tip-over.

been dropped.
