Audio-Technica’s ATH-ANC20 QuietPoint® headphones use active noise-cancelling

technology to provide a comfortable listening environment in areas with high ambient

noise. The headphones feature a miniature microphone in each earpiece that picks up

ambient noise (such as traffic, air-handling systems, etc.) and creates a sound-cancelling

signal to effectively block the noise.

Installing the battery

The ATH-ANC20 requires one AAA battery for operation (included). Use only disposable

AAA alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

1. Move headphone power switch to the “OFF” position.

2. Use the lift tab near the center of the left earcup to open the battery compartment.

3. Insert one AAA battery, observing correct polarity as marked.

4. Close the battery compartment cover.

Using your headphones

Listening to music/audio

1. Connect the straight end of the included headphone cable to the port on the left

earcup, making certain the plug is firmly seated.

2. Connect the right angle end of the headphone cable to the headphone jack of

your audio device. Use the included airline adapter to connect to typical airline

audio systems.

3. Wear the left earpiece (marked L) on your left ear; and the right earpiece (marked R)

on your right ear. Adjust the headband as needed for a comfortable fit.

4. To activate noise-cancelling function, move the power switch up; the power indicator

should light (red). (If you do not wish to use the active noise-cancelling function, move

power switch to the down position.)

5. Turn on your audio device. (Volume should be set at a low level at first; adjust as

necessary on audio device.) To prevent damage to your eardrums, use never

excessive volume levels.

There is an in-line volume control on the cable provided with your ATH-ANC20 headphones,

which you may use to adjust volume of your music. Note that the maximum volume heard

through the headphones is limited by the setting on your music source. If the volume on

your source is at the minimum setting, you may not be able to hear your music adequately.

Noise-cancelling only

To activate noise-cancelling function, move the power switch on your headphones to the

“ON” position; power indicator should light (red). In this case, there is no need to connect

the headphone cable; simply turn the headphones on and wear them.

After using

When you have finished using your headphones, move the power switch to the

down position.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

Ambient noise is not reduced Adjust headphones’ position. (Headphones may be

incorrectly positioned on ears.)

Turn power switch off, and on again. (Ambient

noise may be out of synchronization with noise-

cancelling frequency.)

Headphones produce Adjust headphones’ position. (Headphones may be

Sound has become distorted Turn down volume of audio/video equipment.

Le casque ATH-ANC20 QuietPoint® d’Audio-Technica met en œuvre une technologie

Installation de la pile

Les casque ATH-ANC20 fonctionnent avec une pile AAA (fournie). N’utilisez que des

piles alcalines AAA jetables. Ne pas utiliser de piles rechargeables.

1. Mettez l’interrupteur marche/arrêt du casque en position « OFF ».

2. Utilisez la languette à proximité du milieu de la coupelle gauche pour ouvrir le

compartiment à pile.

3. Insérez la pile AAA en respectant la polarité indiquée.

4. Refermez le couvercle du compartiment à pile.

Utilisation du casque d’écoute

Écoute musicale/audio

1. Branchez l’extrémité droite du câble du casque inclus sur le connecteur situé sur

la coupelle gauche, et vérifiez que le jack est correctement inséré.

2. Connectez l’extrémité formant un angle droit du câble à la prise casque de votre

équipement audio. Utilisez l’adaptateur pour avion pour brancher les écouteurs sur

le système audio d’un avion.

3. Placez l’écouteur gauche (marqué L) dans votre oreille gauche et l’écouteur droit

(marquee R) dans votre oreille droite. Ajustez le serre-tête de façon à ce que le casque

soit installés confortablement.

4. Pour activer la fonction réduction de bruit, poussez l’interrupteur vers le haut ; le voyant

d’alimentation doit s’allumer (lumière rouge). (Si vous ne souhaitez pas utiliser la

fonction réduction de bruit, poussez l’interrupteur vers le bas.)

5. Allumez l’appareil audio. Commencez par un volume sonore peu élevé, puis ajustez

le volume sur l’appareil audio. Pour prévenir les lésions aux tympans, de régler évitez

le volume sonore à un niveau trop élevé.

Un contrôle de volume intégré sur le câble fourni avec votre casque ATH-ANC20 est

disponible, vous pouvez l’utiliser pour régler le volume de votre musique. Remarque :

le volume maximal diffusé par le casque est limité par le réglage de votre source de

musique. Si le volume de votre source est réglé au minimum, il se peut que vous

n’entendiez pas correctement la musique.

Fonction réduction de bruit seule

Pour activer la fonction réduction de bruit, mettez l’interrupteur du casque en position

« ON ». Le voyant d’alimentation doit s’allumer (lumière rouge). Il est inutile de brancher

le cordon du casque pour cette utilisation. Il suffit d’allumer le casque et de le porter.

Après l’utilisation

Lorsque vous n’utilisez plus le casque, poussez l’interrupteur vers le bas.

Problème Solution

Le bruit ambiant n’est pas réduit Modifiez la position du casque. (Il se peut que les

coupelles soient mal appliquées sur vos oreilles.)

Mettez l’interrupteur marche/arrêt en position « OFF »,

puis en position « ON ». (Il se peut que le bruit ambiant

soit mal synchronisé par rapport à la fréquence réduction

de bruit.)

Bourdonnement dans le casque Modifiez la position du casque. (Il se peut que les

coupelles soient mal appliquées sur vos oreilles.)

Distorsion du son Réduisez le volume de l’équipment audio/vidéo.

(Il se peut que le volume sonore soit trop élevé.)

Changez la pile du casque. (La pile est peut-être épuisée.)
