IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Read the safety instructions carefully before using your appliance for the first time.
• Use only on AC 220-240 Volt, 50/60 Hz. For domestic use only.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
• Close supervision is required when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• Do not use the appliance if it is faulty or damaged in any way. To reduce the risk of electric shock, never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Take it to an authorised service centre for
inspection and repair. Incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock when using the appliance.
• Use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
• Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or heated oven.
• Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with hot parts of the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use.
• Extreme care should be taken when moving the appliance from one place to another.
• This appliance may be used by children from 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or
have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks.
• Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
• Do not allow children over the age of 8 to clean or service the appliance unless they are supervised.
• Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and power cord.

PARTS OF THE APPLIANCE
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Read all instructions carefully and keep the manual for future reference.
- Remove all packaging.
- Clean the cooking plates with a sponge or cloth dampened with warm water.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ALLOW WATER TO RUN DIRECTLY ONTO THE COOKING SURFACES!
- Dry with a cloth or paper towel.
- For best results, lightly coat the plates with a little cooking oil or spray.
Note: When your appliance is heated for the first time, burning o of the protective coating will cause smoking. This is not harmful and will disappear aer a short time. It is therefore recommended
that you leave your appliance to run for 10 minutes before using it for the first time.
WARNING: This electric appliance is equipped with a heating function. In addition to the cooking surfaces, other surfaces of the appliance may also develop high temperatures. Handle the appliance
with extreme care. The appliance should only be touched by the handle and heat-protective gloves or pot holders should be used. Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely before
touching its dierent surfaces.
HOW TO USE
1. Close the cooking plates and switch on the appliance by plugging it into a standard electrical outlet. The power indicator light is orange.
2. Use the termostat knob to set the temperature between the MIN and MAX marks. Try the middle setting first and then adjust it as you cook your food. Turn the knob towards
the Min or Max mark. The green indicator light will illuminate when the appliance is heating.
3. When the heating is finished, the green light goes out, indicating that the appliance is ready for use.
WARNING: The cooking plates and metal surfaces of the appliance become extremely hot when in use. To avoid the risk of burns, wear heat-resistant gloves and only touch the handle.
4. Li the upper plate using the handle. Place food on the lower plate using heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils. CAUTION: Do not use metal utensils on this product as they will scratch and
damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
For use as a table grill: When opening the grill, push the hinge release button upwards (the arrow shows where to push) and at the same time open the product further. In this way you can open it at
an angle of 180 degrees. Please take care not to let go of the upper part as this will cause it to fall onto the table or counter.
5. Use the handle to lower the upper plate onto the food.
NOTE: The cooking time for dierent foods depends on the type and thickness of the food.
Food should be thoroughly cooked before eating.
6. When the food is cooked, li the handle to open the plates and remove the food with utensils. Never use metal tongs or a knife as these can damage the non-stick coating of the cooking plates.
7. Switch o the appliance by unplugging the power cord.
8. When the appliance has cooled down completely, clean and dry it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning. The appliance is easier to clean when it is slightly warm.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or put it in the dishwasher!
• Wipe the grill plates with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any food residue. To remove stubborn food residues, use a little mild dishwashing detergent.
• Do not use anything abrasive that could scratch or damage the non-stick coating.
• Do not use metal utensils to remove food as they can damage the non-stick surface.
• Wipe the outside of the grill toaster with a damp cloth. Do not clean the outside with an abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
• Remove and empty the drip tray aer each use and wash in warm soapy water. Do not use scouring pads or harsh detergents as they may damage the surface.
• Rinse thoroughly, wipe dry with a clean, so cloth and replace in the appliance.
STORAGE
• Always unplug the appliance before storage.
• Always ensure that the appliance is cool and dry before storing.
• The power cord can be wrapped around the bottom of the base for storage.
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment
or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it. Keep this manual for future reference and pass it on with the equipment
to any future users.
