live even when the switch is off. To reduce the
risk of death or injury by electric shock:
1. Always unplug appliance immediately after
using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in the shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in or drop into water or
other liquids.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water.

or dropped into water. Return the appliance to
a Conair Service Center for examination and
repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not pull, twist, or wrap line cord around
dryer, even during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the
appliance or place it on a soft surface, such
as a bed or couch, where the air openings
may be blocked. Keep the air openings free
of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to
operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.
13. While using the appliance, keep your hair
away from the air inlets.
14. Do not use with a voltage converter.
15. This appliance is not a toy. Keep away from
children.

INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
HOW TO SET UP AND USE
YOUR SOFT BONNET DRYER
1. Open the door on the side panel of the Soft
Bonnet Dryer. Pull out the line cord, the hose
and the bonnet.
2. To fully extend the hose, press
the release button on the hose to
loosen the locking mechanism.
3. Attach the bonnet to the hose
by lining up the protrusions in
the hose locking ring with the
indentations in the bonnet lock-
ing ring. Look for the locking
symbol and turn clockwise to lock, counter-
clockwise to unlock.
4. Place Soft Bonnet Dryer flat (not standing up
like a purse) on table or countertop. Connect
power cord to outlet. DO NOT BLOCK AIR INLET.
5. Place bonnet over hair, pull drawstring com-
fortably tight and lock in by pushing locking
mechanism button and sliding close to the metal
ring in the bonnet.
6. Hair should be towel-dry, not too wet, before
styling or drying.
7. Turn Soft Bonnet Dryer on. High setting is best
for damp, thick hair; Medium and Low settings
are for more gentle drying or touch-ups on hair
that has been lightly misted with water. Drying
times vary with heat settings and different hair
types; you will soon learn which heat setting and
timing works best for your hair. For best curl
results, turn the dryer to the Cool setting for a
few minutes at the end of your drying time. Cool
air sets curls for long-lasting results.
8. For hot conditioning treatments, follow the
directions of the treatment manufacturer.
Generally, the conditioning lotion or liquid is dis-
tributed in the hair and heat is applied until the
desired conditioning has been achieved.
9. After use of bonnet, push the
locking mechanism button again
and pull away from the bonnet
to unlock the drawstring. Take
bonnet off and unlock it from the
hose by turning it counterclockwise. Let bonnet
and hose cool down for a few minutes until they
are no longer warm to the touch. Then fold the
bonnet and store it in the dryer housing. Push in
the easy-lock button on the hose, while at the
same time pulling the drawstring: The springy
hose will conveniently compact for storage
inside the housing. Gently loop power cord and
store it in the housing as well. Make sure prongs
on power plug do not damage bonnet or hose.
Attachments do not store in the
housing.
10. Dryer stands up on its side
for space-saving storage.
11. In the unlikely event that the dryer shuts off
during use, please check the inlet grill for lint
buildup and clean if necessary.

DE OPERACIÓN
Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente
con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato ha
sido diseñado para funcionar con corriente de
110 V a 125 V AC.
El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, aquel enchufe
se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en las
tomas de corriente polarizadas. Si el enchufe no
entra en la toma de corriente, inviértalo. Si aun
así no entra completamente, comuníquese con
un electricista. No intente modificar esta función
de seguridad.
ENSAMBLAJE Y USO
1. Abra el compartimiento de almacenamiento.
Saque el cable, el tubo y el gorro.
2. Oprima el botón de liberación
del tubo para extenderlo.
3. Conecte el gorro al tubo,
alineando los resaltes en la
abrazadera del tubo con las
hendiduras en la abrazadera del
gorro. Busque el símbolo del
candado y gire en sentido horario
para bloquear, y en sentido
antihorario para desbloquear.
4. Coloque el secador de gorro horizontalmente
sobre una superficie plana, tal como una mesa.
Enchufe el cable en una toma de corriente. NO
OBSTRUYA LOS ORIFICIOS DE VENTILACIÓN.
5. Coloque el gorro sobre la cabeza y jale
el cordón para posicionarlo cómodamente.
Presione el botón de bloqueo y deslice el anillo
de metal del gorro para sujetarlo.
6. El cabello debe estar limpio y ligeramente
húmedo; no seque/peine el cabello mojado.
7. Encienda el aparato. Le recomendamos que
use el ajuste de calor alto para secar el cabello
espeso y húmedo, y el ajuste medio o bajo para
lograr un secado más suave o para retocar un
peinado después de rociarlo ligeramente con
agua. El tiempo de secado variará según el
ajuste usado y el tipo de cabello. Para fijar los
rizos, use el aire frío (ajuste “COOL”) en los
últimos minutos del secado; el peinado será
más duradero.
8. Para realizar tratamientos acondicionadores,
siga las instrucciones del fabricante del tratamiento.
Por lo general: Distribuya el acondicionador en el
cabello húmedo y seque el cabello hasta obtener
el nivel de acondicionamiento deseado.
9. Después de terminar, presione
el botón de bloqueo y jale el
gorro para liberar el cordón.
Quítese el gorro y sepárelo del
tubo, girando este en sentido
antihorario. Permita que el gorro
y el tubo se enfríen. Doble el gorro y guárdelo
en el compartimiento de almacenamiento del
secador. Oprima el botón de bloqueo del tubo
mientras jala el cordón para encoger el tubo,
y luego guarde este en el compartimiento de
almacenamiento. Enrolle el cable sin apretar y
guárdelo en el compartimiento también.
Cerciórese de que las patas del enchufe no
pueden dañar el gorro ni el tubo.
Nota: Los accesorios no caben en el compart-
imiento de almacenamiento.
10. Almacene el secador vertic-
almente para ahorrar espacio si
desea.
11. Si el aparato se apaga dur-
ante el uso, apáguelo y examine
la rejilla de aire; límpiela si está sucia.
