Digital Pacifier Thermometer

with Musical Fever Alarm

WARNING

This unit is NOT intended for use as a custom pacifier or teething instrument. The child

should be supervised at ALL times while using this product. After monitoring the

temperature, the unit should be removed from the child immediately. DO NOT attach ANY

pacifier to a child with pins, ribbons or string. Injury or strangulation could occur.

Instructions

1. Before each use, wash the unit with mild soap and warm water, rinse well and inspect

thoroughly. Do not use boiling water or harsh chemicals to clean this unit. This unit is

NOT dishwasher safe. Discontinue use if the nipple shows signs of damage or wear.

2. Press the power button to activate the unit. The unit will perform a self-test and the

display window will show 188.8˚C for approximately two seconds to indicate the unit is

working properly. The previous temperature reading will then be displayed for

approximately three seconds.

3. Place the pacifier nipple in the child’s mouth. The unit will display L˚C until it measures a

32.2˚C temperature. Temperatures above 32.2˚C will register on the display and ˚C will

continue to flash until the measurement is complete.

4. The unit will sound a “beep beep” when the measurement is complete.

5. If the child’s temperature is above 37.7˚C, the “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” lullaby will

play to soothe the child and indicate a fever.

6. If you wish to monitor any fluctuations in temperature readings, keep the pacifier

thermometer in the child’s mouth for additional readings at approximately five minute

intervals.

7. To prolong the life of the unit, turn the unit off by pressing the power button. Wash the

unit and store with the cover intact. Keep from direct sunlight.

8. The display will flash =if the battery is low. To maintain the life of the battery, this unit

features an automatic shut-off function that activates after approximately 30 minutes of

operation. This Digital Pacifier Thermometer is a sealed unit and must be replaced when

the battery becomes low.

This MABIS Digital Thermometer is guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of one

year from the date of purchase under normal use. This warranty applies to the original registered

purchaser only. All repairs on your MABIS Digital Thermometer should be sent prepaid to: MABIS

Healthcare, Attn: Repair Department, 1931 Norman Drive South, Waukegan, IL 60085. MABIS Healthcare

shall incur no liability under this warranty for any damage from any cause other than inherent

manufacturing defects. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS

ADVERTENCIA

Esta unidad NO debe usarse como un chupete normal o instrumento de dentición. Debe

supervisarse al niño en TODO momento mientras utilice este instrumento. Después de controlar la

temperatura, debe quitarse la unidad de la boca del niño de inmediato. NO sujete ningún chupete

al niño mediante alfileres, cintas o cuerdas. Pueden producirse heridas o estrangulación.

Instrucciones

1. Antes de cada uso, lave la unidad con agua tibia y jabón neutro, enjuague bien e inspecciónela

cuidadosamente. No utilice agua hirviendo o productos químicos fuertes para limpiar la unidad.

NO debe colocarse en el lavaplatos. Discontinúe su uso si aparecen signos de daño o desgaste

en el chupete.

2. Presione el botón de potencia para activar la unidad. La unidad hará un autoexamen y en el

visor aparecerá 188.8˚C durante aproximadamente dos segundos, lo cual indica que la unidad

funciona correctamente. La lectura de la temperatura anterior aparecerá durante

aproximadamente tres segundos.

3. Coloque el chupete en la boca del niño. La unidad mostrará L˚C hasta que mida una

temperatura de 32.2˚C. Se registrarán en el visor las temperaturas superiores a 32.2˚C y ˚C

continuará titilando hasta que la medición esté completa.

4. La unidad emitirá un sonido “beep beep” cuando la medición esté completa.

5. Si la temperatura del niño es superior a 37.7˚C, la canción de cuna “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”

sonará para calmar al niño e indicar que tiene fiebre.

6. Si desea controlar las fluctuaciones en las lecturas de la temperatura, mantenga el termómetro

chupete en la boca del niño para obtener otras lecturas a intervalos de aproximadamente cinco

minutos.

7. Para prolongar la vida útil de la baterÌa, apague la unidad presionando el botón de potencia.

Lave la unidad y guárdela con la cubierta intacta. Manténgala lejos de la luz solar directa.

8. El visor titilará mostrando el signo si la baterÌa está por agotarse. Para mantener la vida útil=
