SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING

Save these instructions - This operator's manual
contains important safety and operating instructions.
WARNING
Do not attempt to make measurement in the
presence of ammable gases. Otherwise, the
use of the instrument may cause sparking, which
can lead to an explosion.
Never attempt to use the instrument if its surface
or your hand is wet.
This instrument is to be used only in its in-
tended applications or conditions. Otherwise,
the instrument's safety functions may not work,
resulting in serious personal injury and instru-
ment damage.
Never attempt to make measurement if any ab-
normal conditions, such as broken case and ex-
posed metal parts are found on the instrument.
Comply with local and national safety require-
ments when working in hazardous locations.
Verify proper operation on a known source
before use or taking action as a result of the
indication of the instrument. Never assume tool
is working.
Do not install substitute parts or make any modi-
cation to the instrument. For repair, return the
tool to a factory Service/Sales Support Branch
or authorized service station.
Do not try to replace the batteries if the surface
of the instrument is wet.
Properly dispose of used batteries.
Do not incinerate or dismantle batteries.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery, avoid contact. If contact ac-
cidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause ir-
ritation or burns.
CAUTION
Do not expose the instrument to the direct sun,
high temperature and humidity or dew fall.
Altitude 2000m or less. Appropriate operating
temperature is within 0ºC and 50ºC.
Keep away from excess dust and water.
Be sure to power o󰀨 the instrument after use.
When the instrument will not be in use for a
long period, place it in storage after removing
the batteries.
Use of controls or adjustments or performance
of procedures other than those specified herein
may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
Use a damp cloth or neutral detergent for clean-
ing the instrument. Do not use abrasives or
solvents.
LASER SAFETY
WARNING
The device produces visible laser beams, which
are emitted from the tool.
This device complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 and
1040.11 except for conformance with IEC 60825-1
Ed. 3., as described in Laser Notice No. 56, dated
May 8, 2019.
Laser light - Do not stare into beam or view
directly with optical instruments. Do not point
laser light at others. Laser light can cause eye
damage.
Do not point laser at reective surfaces. Unpre-
dictable results may occur.
To reduce the risk of injury or temporary e󰀨ects
on vision, do not look directly into the laser
when it is on.
WORK AREA SAFETY
Ensure adequate safeguards at the work site
(e.g. surveying site when measuring on roads,
construction sites, etc.).
Keep children and bystanders away wile operat-
ing Temp-Gun™. Store idle Temp-Guns™ out of
the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the tool or these instructions to
operate them.
Avoid dangerous environments. Do not use in
rain, snow, damp or wet locations. Do not use in
the presence of explosive atmospheres (gaseous
fumes, dust or ammable materials).
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating Temp-Gun™.
Do not use while you are tired or under the inu-
ence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention may result in serious personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and bal-
ance at all times. This enables better control in
unexpected situations.
BATTERY USE AND CARE
This tool is designed to be powered by one (1) 9V
battery properly inserted into the MILWAUKEE
Temp-Gun™. Do not attempt to use with any other
voltage or power supply.
•Do not leave battery within the reach of children.
Install battery according to polarity (+ / –)
diagrams.
Properly dispose of used batteries immediately.
Do not incinerate or dismantle batteries.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery, avoid contact. If contact ac-
cidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation
or burns.
