WEAPON SAFETY
PLEASE BE SURE TO READ, UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW
THESE SAFETY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS WHEN
HANDLING A FIREARM OR THE NIGHTSTICK TWM WHEN
MOUNTED ON A FIREARM. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN BE
DANGEROUS AND COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY,
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR DEATH.
Use of a rearm under any circumstance is inherently
dangerous. SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH may result
without proper training in the safe handling of rearms. Proper
training should be obtained from an accredited rearms safety
program conducted by a qualifi ed instructor.
Read, understand and follow all of the safety instructions that
came with your fi rearm before attaching your new TWM.
Always assume every fi rearm is loaded and treat that rearm
as such.
Never point a rearm at anything that you are not willing to
destroy.
Never service your rearm or your TWM when mounted on a
rearm without rst activating the weapon’s safety (if applicable),
removing the magazine, opening the action and physically and
visually inspecting to make sure that no ammunition is installed
in the fi rearm.
BEFORE ATTACHING, INSPECTING OR
SERVICING THE TWM
Engage the safety on the fi rearm (if applicable).
Remove the magazine from the fi rearm (if applicable).
Open the action and visually and physically inspect the
chamber to be sure it is empty.
Keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction at all times and
never place your hand in front of the muzzle.

INSTALLING THE TWM ONTO YOUR FIREARM
Note: Your TWM has been pre-confi gured with the L2 modular
channel-locking insert. If the fi t is not correct for your specifi c
rearm, use the Allen wrench to switch to the L1 insert
(included in package).
Image 5 Image 6 Image 7
Push inward on the rail clamp tension thumbscrew to fully
open the moveable rail clamp. (Image 5)
Place the moveable portion of the rail clamp into the groove
of the Picatinny rail and align the L1 or L2 insert with the
desired slots.

While holding the light tightly to the rail, tighten the rail clamp
tension thumbscrew by hand.
Use a coin to fully tighten the rail clamp tension thumbscrew.
(Image 7)
CAUTION: Periodically check the insert screws and the rail
clamp tension thumbscrew for tightness.
ATTACHING RPS PRESSURE PAD SWITCH
TO FIREARM
The RPS Pressure Pad Switch can be attached to the fi rearm
using a variety of methods:
OPTION 1: USING THE NS-PIC1
The NS-PIC1 allows the user to mount the RPS Pressure Pad
Switch to any section of Picatinny Rail.
Image 8 Image 9
Position the mount onto the rail with the open end in the
direction you prefer. (Image 8)
Align the protrusions with the rail slots and snap mount into
place.
Slide the pressure switch pad into the open end of the mount
until fully seated. (Image 9)
OPTION 2: USING THE 2-PART VELCRO PADS
The included Velcro® pads come with two strips of pressure
sensitive adhesive (PSA) already attached that allow the
pressure switch pad to be adhered to any clean smooth surface
of your rearm. The Velcro® allows the pressure switch pad to be
temporarily removed from the fi rearm.
Image 10 Image 11 Image 12
Use the included alcohol prep pad to clean the surface of the
rearm where the RPS is to be attached and the back of the
RPS. Allow to dry. (Image 10)
Remove the backing strip from one side of the PSA tape and
attach it to the back of the RPS.(Image 11)
Repeat that process to attach the RPS/Velcro® pad assembly
to the fi rearm.. (Image 12)
Apply even pressure. Allow the PSA tape to cure for
approximately 24 hours for the best adhesion.
OPTION 3: USING A VERTICAL FORE GRIP
Various aftermarket manufactures make Vertical Forend
Grips that the Nightstick RPS Pressure Pad Switch will fi t into.
Image 13
The TangoDown® (models BGV-MK46 or BGV-QDSF)
vertical fore grips allow the pressure switch pad to slide perfectly
into the molded slot of their grip. (Image 13)
Other vertical fore grips that have the same profi le will work
with the RPS.
OPERATION
The RPS Remote Pressure Pad Switch provides for two
different modes of operation.
Image 14 Image 15
MOMENTARY-ON MODE
Fully pressing down and holding the long tape switch will
activate the momentary-on mode. Releasing the tape switch will
turn the light off. (Image 20)
CONSTANT-ON MODE
Pressing the smaller square shielded switch near the end of the
RPS until it clicks will activate the Constant-on mode. Pressing the
switch until it clicks again will turn the light off. (Image 21)
