
Compact Clip Tuner User Manual
Thank you for choosing a Chord CT- compact clip tuner for convenient and accurate tuning of 28
your instrument. Please read this user guide to ensure you get the most from your new tuner.
Th -12 is supplied with a single CR2032 button cell for power, which should be inserted into e CT
the battery compartment at the rear of the tuner display. Slide the compartment cover off and
insert the button cell, ensuring that the polarity is correct and replace the cover.
To operate the tuner, attach the clip to the headstock of your instrument, rotate the display for a
clear view of the LCD screen and hold the On/Off button until the display lights. Short presses of
the On/Off button will set the mode, with options for Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Violin and Ukulele.
(Ukulele is for a soprano type and to tune a mandolin, use violin mode).
Play a string and observe the detected note on the display, along with the virtual needle showing
the tuning accuracy (flat tune . When in tune to the displayed note, the virtual needle –in –sharp)
will be in the centre and the backlight will change colour to green.
When not being used, press and hold the O Off button to power the tuner down and preserve n/
the battery. After 3 minutes with no note detected, the tuner will automatically power down.
