Woobm-USB
The Woobm is a WiFi-to-serial bridge. This device enables wireless access to RouterBOARD devices which have a
USB port, but do not have wireless interfaces. The device operates in 2GHz 802.11b/g/n wireless mode, and
supports both client and access point modes, which can be protected with a WPA wireless password.
Powering
The device accepts powering from the USB port of the RouterBOARD device.
Setup
1. Plug the Woobm into the USB port of a RouterBOARD device.
2. Set your computer IP configuration to automatic (DHCP).
3. From your PC or smartphone, connect to the wireless network name “WoobmAP”.
4. Once connected to the wireless network, open http://192.168.4.1 in your web browser since there is no ,
password by default, you will be logged in automatically.
Configuration
The Woobm runs a special operating system where you can configure it’s basic functionality, the configuration is
accessible through a web interface. To connect to the RouterBOARD device, the following methods are available:
1. Click on “Terminal” in the Woobm web configuration interface.
2. Open a Telnet connection to the Woobm device from your computer, you will be directly connected to the
RouterBOARD device.

Buttons and jumpers
The Woobm has one button, which has the following functions:
Reset: remove the device from the USB port, press the button, plug in the device, while holding the button.
Release the button when the LED light starts flashing red to restore factory defaults.
WPS: press the button once, while it is working. This will enable WPS for 5 seconds.
Operating system support
The device supports Woobm software only. It can be updated, by uploading a newer .BIN file through the web
configuration page.

interference that may cause undesired operation.This device and its antenna must not be co-located or operation in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
IMPORTANT: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation. 13 cm minimum distance has to be maintained between the
antenna and user. Under such configuration, the FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an
population/uncontrolled environment can be satisfied.
Antenna Installation. WARNING: It is installer's responsibility to ensure that when using the authorized antennas in
the United States (or where FCC rules apply); only those antennas certified with the product are used. The use of
any antenna other than those certified with the product is expressly forbidden in accordance to FCC rules CFR47
part 15.204. The installer should configure the output power level of antennas, according to country regulations and
per antenna type. Professional installation is required of equipment with connectors to ensure compliance with
health and safety issues.
