1. Please note the following installation instructions. Since there are great differences be-

tween PC's, we can only give you general instructions. If you are unsure, please refer to

the operating instructions for your computer.

2. Switch off your computer and all connected peripheral devices and unplug all devices from

the mains.

3. Loosen the case screws on the back of your computer and carefully remove the case.

4. - A low profile bracket is included with the EX 3519 for narrow cases up to 8 cm in height.

5. Setting the Mode Switch

6. -Find a free PCI Express slot and carefully insert the EX 3519 into the selected PCI- -

Express slot. Make sure that the EX 3519 is plugged in correctly and that no short circuit -

occurs.

7. Now you can close the computer case again.

Die EX 3519 PCIe Karte mit dem Baustein ASM1061 ist eine 2 Kanal Erweiterungskarte. Jeder - -

Serial ATA Port unterstützt Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten von bis zu 6Gbps und ist abwärts-

kompatibel zu älteren SATA 1.5Gbps oder 3Gbps Laufwerken. Außerdem unterstützt die Karte

mit dem Mode Umschalter die Funktion zwischen IDE oder ACHI System. Die EX 3519 wird -

HARDWARE INSTALLATION

DRIVER INSTALLATION

Windows operating system

You need administrative rights to install the drivers.

1. -Insert the driver CD with the driver for the PCIe asm1061 SATA 3 2 channel expansion

card into your CD ROM drive. -

2. If found New Hardware Wizard screen is displayed, click Cancel

3. Locate the folder where the driver is located

4. -Double click on "setup.exe" and run install program.

5. Follow the instructions of the install wizard to complete the driver installation.

AHCI mode: HDD and SSD drives can be operated much more efficiently in the PC.

IDE mode: offers better compatibility with older hardware. If you are installing only one hard

disk and do not want to use the advanced SATA features (AHCI, e.g. hot swapping or native

command queuing), install the hard disk in IDE mode.

Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Installationshinweise. Da es große Unterschiede zwischen

PC‘s gibt, können wir Ihnen nur eine generelle Anleitung geben. Bei Unklarheiten halten Sie

sich bitte an die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Computers.

1. Schalten Sie Ihren Rechner und alle angeschlossenen Peripheriegeräte aus und ziehen

Sie bei allen Geräten den Netzstecker.

2. Lösen Sie die Schrauben des Gehäuses auf der Rückseite Ihres Computers und entfer-

nen Sie vorsichtig das Gehäuse.

3. -Mit der EX 3519 wird ein Low Profile Bügel mitgeliefert für schmale Gehäuse bis 8 cm

Bauhöhe.

4. Einstellen des Mode Umschalter

5. - -Suchen Sie einen freien PCI Express Slot und stecken Sie die EX 3519 vorsichtig in den

ausgewählten PCI Express Slot ein. Beachten Sie, dass die EX 3519 korrekt eingesteckt - -

ist und das kein Kurzschluss entsteht.

6. Vor dem schliessen des Computergehäuse stellen Sie den Mode Umschalter ein:

7. Jetzt können Sie das Computergehäuse wieder schließen.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION TREIBER INSTALLATION

Windows Betriebssystem

Sie benötigen Administrative Rechte um die Treiber zu installieren.

1. - Legen Sie die Treiber CD mit dem Treiber für die PCIe asm1061 SATAIII

2 Kanal Erweiterungskarte in Ihr CD ROM Laufwerk ein.- - - -

2. Wenn der Assistent für das Suchen neuer Hardware angezeigt wird,

klicken Sie auf Abbrechen.

3. Suchen Sie den Ordner, in dem sich der Treiber befindet

4. Doppelklicken Sie auf "setup.exe", um das Installationsprogramm zu starten.

5. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen des Installationsassistenten, um die Installation des

Treibers abzuschließen.

Festplatte einbauen und die erweiterten SATA Funktionen ( , z. B. Hot Swapping oder -AHCI -

Native Command Queuing) nicht nutzen möchten, installieren Sie die Festplatte im -IDE

Modus.
